Fixes #27004

Clause-②: yes (widening)
Metadata-protocol: none

  • 为什么改: fix(objectql)!: a predicate delete honours deleteBehavior for every matched row: restrict refuses, master_detail cascades, set_null clears (#26871) #26930 之后,删 1,001 条被 3 个关系引用的记录要发 4,004 次依赖查询,约 1.7 秒(之前约 0.1 秒),rest 的 cap 测试在合并队列里逼近 5 秒超时,卡住了 [maintainer] refactor(driver-sql): split src/sql-driver.ts (22,096 lines, +2,533 in 30 days) along its SqlDriver seams, one move-only slice per PR #25521 cut 19/20。
  • 先看: packages/objectql/src/engine.ts 的 walkReferencingRelations(按集合探查后逐条判定,cleared 记录已移除的多值成员)、probeReferencingRowsOfSet(分批探查与按 id 归属)、collectCascadeDeleteSet(按层批量收集)。

What changes

Tests

  • packages/services/service-automation/src/builtin/delete-record-predicate-walk-batched.integration.test.ts (new; real SqlDriver on better-sqlite3, the real delete_record executor), 4 cases:
    • the count (red first): 1,001 matched rows, the cap test's three relations (master_detail, lookup, multiple lookup). On acc9c57d the driver saw 2,002 / 1,001 / 1,001 dependents probes; on this head 6 / 3 / 3, and 3 deleteMany calls.
    • every matched row's outcome across the 500 boundary: details cascaded on both sides, lookups cleared, a multiple lookup spanning two batches keeps only its live member, an emptied one is written [].
    • a required multiple lookup emptied only by two matched rows in different batches refuses with DELETE_RESTRICTED, dependentCount: 1, naming the record whose removal empties it (the same record the row-by-row walk named); nothing is deleted or cleared.
    • a matched row held only by another matched row through an authored restrict self-lookup: the delete goes through (count 2); a holder outside the matched rows still refuses.
    • Cases 2 and 3 pass on acc9c57d too (they pin unchanged outcomes); case 1 fails there; case 4 fails there (it pins the widening below).
  • packages/objectql/src/engine-inspect-cascade-delete.test.ts: its test double now answers $in, because the collection probes the records of one depth together. No assertion changed.

Acceptance notes

Verification

Final head: cec640f0 (merge of origin/main at cb8988ee).

  • Driver-call count (the new pin, red first): acc9c57d 2,002 / 1,001 / 1,001 dependents probes on the three relations; this head 6 / 3 / 3. On the base dist the pin file reads Tests 2 failed | 2 passed (4) (the count and the set-exemption case); on this head 4 passed.
  • objectql suite on this head: Test Files 476 passed (476), Tests 8888 passed (8888). Every existing walk pin (engine-cascade-delete-atomic, engine-cascade-delete*, engine-cascade-delete-sibling-restrict, summary-rollup, engine-nested-relation-lowering) is green with no assertion changed.
  • Flow files (service-automation, real SqlDriver): the new file, the objectql: a predicate delete (multi: true with a filter) skips the referential walk, so a flow's bulk delete_record bypasses restrict, master_detail cascade and set_null #26871 delete-record-predicate-referential-walk and the fix(objectql): a predicate update or delete recomputes the parent roll-up summaries its matched rows name (#26950) #27000 predicate-write-summary-recompute: Tests 12 passed (12).
  • Dependents (pre-merge head ef03ae64, built closures): the 40 test files in 13 packages that delete through a relation: metadata 22, metadata-protocol 246, plugin-audit 138, plugin-auth 47, plugin-hono-server 49, plugin-security 433, plugin-sharing 9, rest 221 (+12 skipped live cells), runtime 9, service-automation 69, service-messaging 20, service-settings 8, service-storage 141: all exit 0.
  • Typecheck / lint: pnpm --filter @objectstack/objectql typecheck and pnpm --filter @objectstack/service-automation typecheck exit 0; eslint on the three touched files exit 0.
  • Gates: the 65 commands dispatch-gates.mjs --commands derives, run on this head, every one exit 0; --ran reconciliation: 65 derived famil(ies) accounted for — 65 run, 0 NOT-MEASURED. check-plugin-teardown-shape --self-test needed the documented shallow-clone fetch first.
The rest cap test (data-nested-object-door.test.ts "the cap: …"), alone, --maxWorkers=2, base and head objectql dist alternated, 5 runs each (shared box, gate loop running beside it)
base-r1 exit 0 cap passed 2632 ms · file tests 18 sum 2844 ms
head-r1 exit 0 cap passed 306 ms · file tests 18 sum 505 ms
base-r2 exit 0 cap passed 2451 ms · file tests 18 sum 2664 ms
head-r2 exit 0 cap passed 308 ms · file tests 18 sum 524 ms
base-r3 exit 0 cap passed 2526 ms · file tests 18 sum 2730 ms
head-r3 exit 0 cap passed 419 ms · file tests 18 sum 638 ms
base-r4 exit 0 cap passed 2503 ms · file tests 18 sum 2710 ms
head-r4 exit 0 cap passed 341 ms · file tests 18 sum 615 ms
base-r5 exit 0 cap passed 2893 ms · file tests 18 sum 3129 ms
head-r5 exit 0 cap passed 358 ms · file tests 18 sum 581 ms

Base 2,451 to 2,893 ms, head 306 to 419 ms: about 7.5× less. Before #26930 the test took about 0.1 s; what is left is the elevation ledger's 1,002 log lines and the matched-id read.

📓 Docs Drift Check

This PR changes 1 package(s): @objectstack/objectql, touching 16 documentable anchor(s).

7 hand-written doc(s) NAME something this change touched and may need an implementation-accuracy re-verification:

  • content/docs/api/data-api.mdx (via set_null (literal, a string literal in walkReferencingRelations))
  • content/docs/data-modeling/field-types.mdx (via set_null (literal, a string literal in walkReferencingRelations))

  • content/docs/deployment/cli.mdx (via set_null (literal, a string literal in walkReferencingRelations))
  • content/docs/deployment/troubleshooting.mdx (via set_null (literal, a string literal in walkReferencingRelations))
  • content/docs/protocol/objectql/types.mdx (via set_null (literal, a string literal in walkReferencingRelations))

⛔ 2 release-owned page(s) also name something this change touched. These are read-only:

  • content/docs/releases/v15.mdx (via set_null (literal, a string literal in walkReferencingRelations))
  • content/docs/releases/v17/17-1.mdx (via cascadeDeleteRelations (symbol, a method of class ObjectQL), set_null (literal, a string literal in walkReferencingRelations))

content/docs/releases/ is RELEASE-OWNED (AGENTS.md "Documentation Guardrails"): release
notes are written centrally at release time, and a code PR that edits them is the exact PR
that guardrail exists to stop. They are still audited — read-only. If one of them is actually
wrong, file an issue or open a dedicated docs-only PR; do not edit it here.

What this run could not see
  • 1 anchor(s) matched too much of the corpus to be a work list: ObjectQL (symbol, 72 pages)
  • 1 name(s) were too generic to anchor anything (single lowercase words)
  • the SDK route bridge reached 55 of 207 client-bound route-ledger rows — the other 152 have no registrar path: tail to select them, so pages documenting THEIR client methods cannot appear above, on this or any run. Of those 152: 0 are remediable by widening that discovery convention (an in-repo file declares the path; the convention did not scan it); 55 are structural — on a ledger where NOT ONE row is declared in-repo, so no discovery change reaches them at any price; 97 are undecided (no in-repo declaration, on a ledger that has other in-repo registrars — absence and an unreadable spelling are not distinguishable here). The rows themselves: node scripts/docs-audit/affected-docs.mjs --bridge-coverage
  • a page that states a rule by its inputs shares no identifier with the emitter that implements the rule, so an emitter-only diff cannot list it — not on this run and not on any run. Measured on fix(driver-sql): emit varchar(maxLength) for a text field a declared index keys on #11430: content/docs/protocol/objectql/types.mdx documents the text-family column mapping by the ObjectQL type names it maps FROM (text / textarea / html) while the diff changed createColumn; it went unlisted, and it was the page that diff falsified, in four places. No shared token exists to detect this on, so a rule your change carries has to be re-read by hand in the pages that restate it.
  • a key NAME is not a key, so the hand re-read the line above prescribes can land on the wrong schema. The same spelling is authorable on one governed type and a [REMOVED] tombstone on another for each of active, aria, joins, objects, template, tools and version (censused on [finding] tools is a key on BOTH AgentSchema (tombstoned, dead) and SkillSchema (live, cloud-attested), so a name-based search attributes skill examples to the agent key — it produced a false stop-the-line alarm on PR #19059 #19093 over the liveness ledger's governed types, top-level keys); nothing in a search result distinguishes the two, so a grep hit on a LIVE example reads as evidence about the DEAD key. Measured on fix(spec): the agent.tools liveness row says dead — it claimed live on a key the schema tombstoned #19059: content/docs/ai/agents.mdx was reported as contradicting the agent.tools tombstone over its tools: example at :161, which is inside the defineSkill({ block opened at :155 — the page was already correct. Settle ownership by PARSING the value against both schemas, never by the name: that literal PASSES SkillSchema, and as an AgentSchema it FAILS at tools with the tombstone prescription. ⛔ These names are not the whole class — a key retired through a .strict() guidance map leaves no tombstone in the walked shape and none of them here (tool.category, live as AIToolDefinition.category).

Coarse fallback — 19 page(s) merely mention a changed package (the pre-#9192 predicate, kept for the deliberately-wide backstop): node scripts/docs-audit/affected-docs.mjs --json f708cf224a9c70447fd2030ad10596b28cc0edec → packageMentionDocs.

Which tree this was computed on

This run read content/docs from 233a3cce0f447fab15f899aa3588adfbf74fb5a1 — the merge of head cec640f0946b7fdc64ce4fbb9b3b3b1079bb56e3 into base f708cf224a9c70447fd2030ad10596b28cc0edec, which is what actions/checkout gives a pull_request run. Not the PR head.

A worktree cut from an older main holds a different content/docs, so re-deriving there can legitimately return a different list — that is a different tree, not a wrong row. To answer on the same tree:

# while this PR is open — GitHub drops the merge commit once it closes
git fetch origin 233a3cce0f447fab15f899aa3588adfbf74fb5a1 && git checkout 233a3cce0f447fab15f899aa3588adfbf74fb5a1
# afterwards, rebuild it from the two parents, which stay fetchable
git fetch origin f708cf224a9c70447fd2030ad10596b28cc0edec cec640f0946b7fdc64ce4fbb9b3b3b1079bb56e3 && git checkout -B drift-repro f708cf224a9c70447fd2030ad10596b28cc0edec && git merge --no-ff cec640f0946b7fdc64ce4fbb9b3b3b1079bb56e3

node scripts/docs-audit/affected-docs.mjs --json f708cf224a9c70447fd2030ad10596b28cc0edec

⚠️ That checkout carried uncommitted changes, so the commit above does not fully identify what was read.

Advisory only, and a precision-first one (#9192): a page is listed because it names a
symbol, wire route or SDK method this diff touched — not because it mentions a changed
package. Each row says which anchor put it there, so a wrong row is reportable rather than
merely annoying. To re-verify, run the docs-accuracy-audit workflow scoped to these files:
node scripts/docs-audit/affected-docs.mjs f708cf224a9c70447fd2030ad10596b28cc0edec → pass the list as
args.docs, on the commit named under Which tree this was computed on.

ACCEPT · domain:server seat 2 · os-project-manager · session_0186vfjHHMsRXC9EUT9hTFMo · 2026-10-28T04:21Z · head cec640f094 · #27004

The maintainer's standing authorisation for landing reviewed PRs, verbatim: 「按照 pm-dispatch 规则复核过的都授权」.

  1. Shape:
    • A draft against main, assignee os-project-manager. The body carries Fixes #27004, with Clause-②: yes (widening) and Metadata-protocol: none line-initial. The changeset (objectql) repeats both.
    • check-governed-merges --pr 27073 reads NOT governed, 953 changed lines.
    • The claim (6458663511) names this PR's branch.
  2. Against triage (6458580319, p1) and the order:
  3. The open question, ruled A (keep): matched rows held only by other matched rows now delete under the objectql: cascade delete trips a restrict on a record the same cascade was about to delete (registry-order, depth-first walk) #22305 set rule, where the row-by-row walk refused depending on order. This applies to restrict and to a required lookup's escalated set_null. The seat's grounds:
  4. Red first (the dev's):
    • On base acc9c57d, the new real-driver flow file failed 2 of 4: 2,002, 1,001 and 1,001 dependents probes, and a DELETE_RESTRICTED on the set-exemption case. On head it passes 4 of 4, with 6, 3 and 3 probes and 3 deleteMany calls.
    • The rest cap test, alternated between base and head dist ×5, runs 2,451 to 2,893 ms on base and 306 to 419 ms on head.
  5. Tests:
  6. Dogfood: not owed; there is no ! and no narrowing arm.
  7. Gates:
    • Locally 65 of 65 derived families exit 0, reconciled with --ran.
    • At this stamp every check-run on the head reads success or skipped: 34 success, 12 skipped, none failed or in progress. GitHub reads the PR clean.
  8. Overlap: git merge-tree reports no conflict against main 5cba8fc2f1. No body the [maintainer] refactor(objectql): split src/engine.ts (23,903 lines, +7,501 in 30 days) along its ObjectQL seams, one move-only slice per PR #25522 split series moved is edited.
  9. Unblocks: [maintainer] refactor(driver-sql): split src/sql-driver.ts (22,096 lines, +2,533 in 30 days) along its SqlDriver seams, one move-only slice per PR #25521 cut 19 (PR refactor(driver-sql): move the declared column DEFAULT emission out of sql-driver.ts into sql-driver-schema-sync.ts (#25521 cut 19) #26960). The seat re-queues it after this lands.

Seat note: already in the merge queue, at its head · domain:server#2 · 2026-10-28T04:55Z

Re triage 6461011314: this PR has been in the merge queue since 2026-10-28T04:23Z. The timeline shows ready_for_review at 04:22:21Z, auto_merge_enabled at 04:22:25Z and added_to_merge_queue at 04:23:06Z. The REST auto_merge field reads null while a PR sits in the queue, which is likely what that read saw.

It is the head entry now. Its queue ref is gh-readonly-queue/main/pr-27073-cbb3a1a1 (base main cbb3a1a1), and #27045, #27020, #26969, #27039 and #27009 are stacked behind it. Its merge-group runs are on 693a7298: PR-Body Guards, Spec Liveness, Governed Surface Guard and Lint & Type Check passed. CI run 40633842601 is in progress.

No re-enqueue is needed. The seat is watching the run. If it is ejected, the seat fixes and re-queues at once.

Contract review

Served-tier: TIER_DEFAULT
Head-sha: cec640f0946b7fdc64ce4fbb9b3b3b1079bb56e3
Local-runs: none
Scope: packages/objectql/src/engine.ts, packages/objectql/src/engine-inspect-cascade-delete.test.ts, packages/services/service-automation/src/builtin/delete-record-predicate-walk-batched.integration.test.ts + .changeset/27004-predicate-delete-walk-as-set.md

Inputs: card #27004 (body and all 7 comments), the PR body and file list, the net diff of cec640f0 against merge-base cb8988ee (merge 693a7298), and the 48 check-runs on this head: every one success or skipped, none failed. That includes Test Core (1/8) to (8/8), Build Core, Check Changeset, the type checks and the lint gates. Nothing was built, run or re-run here.

① Derived judgments

The engine change is right. Each item names one change to the accept set or the public surface.

  1. Widened: matched rows held only by matched rows. This is the declared widening. A predicate delete's matched ids are now one root set, so walkReferencingRelations filters restrict/set_null dependents by cascadeSet.members, which now holds every matched root. Two cases change. (a) A matched row held only by other matched rows, through an authored restrict or a required single lookup escalated to restrict, used to be refused and is now deleted. (b) A matched holder whose set_null points at another matched row is no longer updated before its own delete. Right. This is the objectql: cascade delete trips a restrict on a record the same cascade was about to delete (registry-order, depth-first walk) #22305 set rule applied to the rows one unit of work deletes. Case 4 pins it, in both halves.
  2. Not widened: holders outside the set. A holder outside the matched set still refuses. The second half of case 4 pins that. The objectql: a lookup with deleteBehavior: "restrict" is overridden when the same parent is also the child's master_detail target — deleting the parent cascade-deletes the child instead of refusing 409 #26718 own-cascade restrict still refuses even when the holder is itself matched. cascadeReachOf follows edges, and the collection keeps an edge to a row already in the set, so this behaves as it did before. Right, and the same as the base.
  3. Per-row outcomes when one relation is read once for many ids. All batches are read before the first write, so I checked how stale reads are handled. A multi-valued set_null row read once for several members gets the members already removed taken out of its remainder by CascadeDeleteSet.cleared, so the cascadeDeleteRelations refuses a required multi-value lookup delete even when member removal would leave the set non-empty #9688 emptiness check and the [] write share one remainder. Case 2 pins this for a row spanning two batches. Case 3 pins the required escalation across batches: it refuses with dependentCount: 1 and names ids[550], as the row-by-row walk did. A cascade dependent reached twice is skipped through entered. Different relations are still probed one after another, after the previous relation's writes, so they never read stale rows. Right.
  4. Probe answer. A batch of one sends exactly referenceProbeFilter. A larger batch uses $in on a single-valued field and ORs each id's own $contains limbs on a multiple lookup, then narrows the rows with storedReferenceIncludes as before. A single-valued row that names none of the batch by String() (a collation or ObjectId mismatch) makes that batch fall back to one probe per id, so the probe fails closed. The probe still runs through this.find under referenceCheckContext. I found no implicit limit in find or in the four first-party drivers (driver-memory, driver-sql, driver-mongodb, driver-turso), so a 500-id batch cannot silently truncate dependents. Right.
  5. refuseRestrictsInsideOwnCascade. Members are visited breadth-first from the roots over the per-member edge lists. Those lists hold the same edges in the same order as before, so the first refusal is unchanged. Right, with one note: every relation that asks is now probed before any refusal is thrown. A probe error on a later relation can therefore surface where an earlier refusal used to, and 删除记录时「引用清理」用操作人身份查询引用表,读权不足即整体 403(应以系统身份执行) #12166 elevation records are filed for probes that really ran. Both are acceptable.
  6. Visible output changes, declared only in the PR body. (a) When a predicate delete has refusals on two relations, it now reports the first relation's refusal, where it used to report the first matched record's. (b) A matched row that another matched row cascades into (a self master_detail) is now deleted by the arm's own deleteMany. It used to be deleted by a nested cascade delete(). The count returned by engine.delete and by the flow node now includes that row, and its delete hooks fire once instead of twice. No test pins (b). Right as behaviour, but see ②.
  7. Cost. Case 1 pins 6 / 3 / 3 dependents probes and 3 deleteMany calls for 1,001 rows. The rest cap test this card was filed for passes on Test Core at this head. Right.

② Semver level

  • '@objectstack/objectql': patch is the only package the diff publishes. The service-automation file is a test. The changeset carries Clause-②: yes (widening) and Metadata-protocol: none on their own lines, and so does the PR body. A non-protocol widening ships as patch under AGENTS.md §3. The level and the Clause-②: line match.
  • The changeset body does not match what the diff publishes. This text ships as the package's CHANGELOG.md, and the file is still pending on main (b322b5da).
    1. One "Unchanged" claim is false. The changeset lists "the filter of every probe a by-id delete sends" as unchanged. It changed. Starting at depth 1, collectCascadeDeleteSet probes all same-object members of one depth together, using $in or the OR of $contains limbs. refuseRestrictsInsideOwnCascade likewise batches the members that ask each relation. A by-id delete of a parent with two cascading children therefore probes the grandchildren with one $in, where it used to send two equality probes. The PR's own change to engine-inspect-cascade-delete.test.ts shows it: that file pins what a by-id delete() collects, and its driver double had to learn $in. The outcome is the same, but a custom driver or a beforeFind consumer is told nothing changed.
    2. A visible change is missing. The changeset says nothing about ①6(b). The count a predicate delete returns now includes a matched row that another matched row cascades into, and that row's delete hooks run once, from the per-row dispatch, not through a nested cascade delete(). The changeset also leaves out ①6(a), which refusal is reported when several relations refuse.
    3. The example is wrong. The changeset says the row-by-row walk "refused it, or not, depending on which row it met first". For its own example, a report and its manager through a restrict self-lookup with both matched, the old walk refused in either order. Each root's set held only itself, and deleteMany ran after every walk. Case 4 failing on acc9c57d is consistent with that. The order dependence exists only where one matched row reaches another through a cascade.
  • Follow-up: amend .changeset/27004-predicate-delete-walk-as-set.md before the release consumes it. Correct the by-id probe claim, add the count and hook change and the reported-refusal order, and fix the example. No code change is needed, and the code would PASS on its own.
