SDK operations need a shared way to receive the app's AT Protocol client. Auth and sessions must stay in the app, and the context must not pull in every operation.
Fix
Add createSDKContext({ client }). It takes an @atproto/lexClient and returns a frozen { client }. Anything without an xrpc() method (no client, an OAuth session, an @atproto/api agent) throws a TypeError that says what to pass.
@atproto/lex is a peer dependency (^0.4.4) and is imported type-only, so the SDK never bundles its own copy.
Add Vitest as the test runner (pnpm test, turbo task, CI step).
Skip core-js's build script via allowBuilds. pnpm 11+ fails installs on it otherwise. check-package does the same in its consumer and pins @atproto/lex to the SDK's dev version.
Document the API with TSDoc and add a package README with install and setup. AGENTS.md records the TSDoc rules and the validation convention (lexicon RecordSchemas for records, l from @atproto/lex for inputs, no Zod).
Summary by CodeRabbit

The PR appears safe to merge; no blocking issues were found.
Summary
Adds createSDKContext({ client }), which checks for an xrpc() method and returns a frozen context holding the application's client.
SDK operations share the app’s frozen client context.
CI runs the SDK context tests with Vitest.
Package checks install the SDK’s client peer in their own pnpm workspace.

Walkthrough
The SDK adds and exports a shared context factory that validates and retains a client. It adds Vitest scripts and context tests, runs tests in CI, updates package-consumer checks, and documents SDK setup and development guidance.
Changes: SDK context and usage

Summary
Context API and package usage packages/sdk/src/context.ts, packages/sdk/src/index.ts, packages/sdk/package.json, .changeset/*, packages/sdk/README.md, README.md, AGENTS.md
The SDK exports context types and createSDKContext. The factory accepts an object with a callable xrpc property, returns a frozen context, and does not check authentication. The package declares @atproto/lex as a peer dependency. Documentation describes setup and adds API documentation and input-validation guidance.

The repository adds Vitest scripts and tests for context creation and invalid clients. Turbo and CI run tests. The package check installs the SDK’s declared @atproto/lex development dependency and configures the consumer workspace to disallow core-js build scripts.

Operations take a context built once from an already-authenticated
@atproto/lex Client, so auth and sessions stay in the app. @atproto/lex
is a peer dependency so the SDK never bundles a second copy. The client
check is duck-typed on xrpc() so duplicate package copies still pass.
Adds Vitest as the test runner (turbo task, CI step). pnpm 12 refuses
core-js's unreviewed build script pulled in by @atproto/lex, so it is
skipped via allowBuilds, here and in the check-package consumer, which
now pins @atproto/lex to the SDK's dev version.
