Run the benchmark and regression suites against the exact current virtualization fix.

Temporary fork-only draft PR used to validate the optional BenchmarkDotNet/bUnit harness.
This branch is stacked on
fix/virtualized-list-selection-stateuntil the main fix is merged, so the current diff intentionally includes that fix as ancestry. The intended upstream benchmark PR will contain only benchmark infrastructure once the fix is present indev.The harness is being used to produce before/after evidence for the virtualization fix. It measures time, allocations and GC with BenchmarkDotNet and supplements that with a bUnit scale probe for shadow item/component counts and approximate retained memory.
Do not merge this WIP PR.
