The occurrence algorithm filter, the occurrence job filter and the list of algorithms used in a project each spelled out which tables to search. They now read one registry, ami/ml/model_outputs.py, and a test fails when a model with foreign keys to both Algorithm and Job is neither registered nor exempted. Behaviour change: algorithms whose only output is algorithm results are now listed by used_in_project and matched by the algorithm filter. The algorithm filter first probes, with the literal ids, which tables hold rows for the selected algorithms and builds EXISTS terms only for those, so the common one-classifier case stays a single EXISTS that Postgres plans as a semi-join. …uilder The registry module, its dataclass and its probe query are gone. The occurrence algorithm and job filters now share build_occurrence_results_q() in ami/main/models_future/filters.py, which names the three output tables (detections, classifications, algorithm results) directly. Algorithm.objects.used_in_project() adds a third id list for algorithm results. The job filter's query is unchanged from main. The algorithm filter adds the algorithm-result EXISTS only when the selected algorithms have algorithm results, so a classifier selection stays a single EXISTS that Postgres can plan as a semi-join. Tests move into the existing filter and choice test classes. …orage branch The registry module is gone on both branches. Feature vectors join the three output tables in build_occurrence_results_q(): the job filter gains one EXISTS, and the algorithm filter adds the vector EXISTS only when the selected algorithms have vectors. Algorithm.objects.used_in_project() gains a fourth id list read through the vector table's project column. The vector tests move into the existing filter and choice test classes. Is just build_processed_by_algorithm_q appropriate or is this meant to extend to other kind of occurrence results?

Claude says: Split in 92d80c5. The two filters share no code path, so each now has its own function, named after the queryset method it serves: build_processed_by_algorithm_q(algorithm_ids) for the algorithm filter and build_created_or_updated_by_job_q(job_id) for the job filter. Both docstrings note that they read the same output tables, so a new kind of output is added to both (and to Algorithm.objects.used_in_project()); the canonical-patterns row says the same. I kept processed_by_algorithm rather than build_algorithm_filter_q so the builder and OccurrenceQuerySet.processed_by_algorithm share one name.

…yment changes project Algorithm results copy their project from the occurrence, but Deployment.update_children() only realigned events, occurrences and source images. After a deployment moved, the algorithm choices for a project (which read the result's project) listed the old project instead of the new one. Also rewraps the algorithm filter docstring. …isplay to a follow-up This branch now stores feature vectors and nothing else, so it can merge before #1518. It drops the changes merged in from #1518 (the shared occurrence results query) and moves the places that read vectors for users into a follow-up pull request stacked on this branch: - the vector terms in the occurrence algorithm and job filters, and feature extractors in the algorithm filter's choices; - the "Feature vectors" row on the occurrence detail page and its serializer field; - leaving that field out of exports; - their tests and the matching rows of the feature vector reference doc. The files these touch return to their versions on main. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com> Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_0121zMVjnPsqeDFSBXRCPvMy

Keeping copied project columns aligned when a station moves belongs with the move command (#1192) and a project-consistency check (#1453), which may use a database cascade, not with every deployment save. A moved station's algorithm results keep their old project until then, which affects only the algorithm filter's choices. Summary
Several screens ask the same question: did this algorithm, or this job, leave any results on this occurrence? The occurrence list's algorithm filter, its job filter ("View occurrences" from a job), and the list of algorithms offered in that filter each answered it with their own hand-written list of tables. When post-processing results got their own table (#1461), only the job filter learned about it. An algorithm whose only output is algorithm results (a post-processing method that records a value but changes no prediction) was therefore missing from the algorithm filter and its choices.
This PR adds those results to the algorithm filter and its choices, and moves the queries for both occurrence filters (by algorithm and by job) into two reusable
Qbuilders that sit side by side. The upcoming feature vector table (#1525) is then added in those two functions and in the choices list. It is split out of #1462 so the change can be reviewed on its own, against the tables that exist onmaintoday.List of Changes

Why the algorithm-result term is conditional
Joining one EXISTS per table with OR looks simpler, but Postgres cannot plan ORed EXISTS as a semi-join. It plans them as subplans that collect every matching row in each table before returning the first page. On #1462 that shape took the first page of a 45k-occurrence project from about 0.8 ms to about 240 ms (measured with
EXPLAIN (ANALYZE)on a copy of production data). Classifications stay inside the detection EXISTS for the same reason: splitting them into their own term made the first page take 361 ms.So the algorithm builder first checks
AlgorithmResult.objects.filter(algorithm__in=ids).exists()and adds that EXISTS only when there are rows to find. A classifier or detector selection keepsmain's single EXISTS. The check is one indexed query on the algorithm results table per filtered request; its cost at production scale is not measured, because the table is new and still small. The job filter keeps
main's three ORed EXISTS terms unchanged. It is reached from one job's page rather than from the main occurrence list, and this PR does not change its plan.Earlier version of this PR
The first version listed the tables in a registry module (
ami/ml/model_outputs.py) with a dataclass per table, a per-table probe query and a test that found new output tables by their foreign keys. Review found it harder to follow than the problem warranted, so it was replaced with aQbuilder, later split into one function per filter in review. The coverage test went with it: a new output table is now added by hand in both builders and inused_in_project().Tests
New cases go into the existing test classes rather than a new file:
TestOccurrenceAlgorithmFilterQuerySet: an algorithm with only algorithm results matches its occurrence, and a classifier selection builds a single EXISTS that does not touch the algorithm results table.TestOccurrenceAlgorithmChoices: an algorithm with only algorithm results is offered as a choice.TestOccurrenceJobFilteralready covers algorithm results onmainand is unchanged.Plan for the split
