Superseded by #24: LF normalization is required so the Linux release runner starts from a clean checkout. The signed replacement retains the same exact Docker host policy and CodeQL gate correction. |

Add only Docker Engine 29.8.0 to the supported host policy while preserving prior ranges and keeping later versions untested. Update README and compatibility guidance, run 11 boundary classification cases, verify the settings inside the release JAR, and align CodeQL candidate version gate. Hold merge and release until the separate three-backend Ubuntu 26.04 runtime acceptance passes.
