What

ci_runs keeps a year, so the CI tab drops its two-week special case:

  • Same presets and one-year limit as the other Code Review tabs; the window carries over to the CI tab like the others.
  • The series switches to daily bars past a month and weekly past four months.
  • A run older than the 30 days raw traces keep shows no "View trace" link.
  • The pull request sheet lists the PR's runs from the last 90 days instead of two weeks.
  • The "CI analytics cover at most 14 days" notice and its helper are gone.

Reading a year is affordable on the rollup: a Maple-sized org's full page reads 213 MB in ~114 ms, a 10x org 1.4 GB in ~700 ms (synthetic, isolated).

Verification

  • CiAnalyticsService.test.ts: a month reads whole in 6-hour buckets; two years clamp to the newest year in contiguous weekly buckets that cover it.
  • ci.scene.test.ts: the trace link renders for a 29-day-old run and not for a 60-day-old one (a mutation to 31 days fails it).
  • web code-review tests (53), web typecheck, effect lint.
  • Screenshots on the preview follow.

Summary by CodeRabbit

  • New Features
    • CI analytics now supports time ranges up to 365 days, with clearer summaries for periods that have no prior runs to compare.
    • Review sheets show CI runs from the last 90 days. Trace links are available for 30 days after a run.
  • Documentation
    • Updated telemetry retention information: CI workflow runs and jobs in Code Review → CI are kept for 365 days.

ci_runs keeps a year, so the CI tab takes the same presets and one-year
limit as the other Code Review tabs, and the window carries over to it.
The series switches to daily and weekly bars on long windows. A run
older than the 30 days traces keep shows no View trace link, and the
pull request sheet lists its runs from the last 90 days.

📝 Walkthrough

CI analytics and filters now support longer time ranges, and the review sheet requests 90 days of CI runs. Trace links are shown only while the run’s trace remains within its retention window.

Changes: Code Review CI retention

Layer / File(s) Summary
Analytics retention and buckets
packages/backend/src/services/pr-review/CiAnalyticsService.ts, packages/backend/src/services/pr-review/CiAnalyticsService.test.ts, apps/landing/src/content/docs/reference/retention.md
CI analytics accepts ranges up to 365 days plus one day. Bucket sizes vary by range, and previous-period totals are not queried when that period starts outside retention. The retention table states that CI runs and jobs are kept for 365 days.
CI range selection and propagation
apps/web/src/page/code-review/kit/layout.ts, apps/web/src/page/code-review/kit/filters-view.ts, apps/web/src/page/code-review/ci/*, apps/web/src/page/code-review/{analytics,issues,pull-requests,settings}/view.ts, apps/web/src/components/code-review/ci/ci-format*, apps/web/src/page/kit/time-range-picker.scene.test.ts
CI filters use a 365-day maximum and long-range presets. Layout carries search values across non-settings tabs. The CI view removes the 14-day window notice and its cut-detection helper. The stat subline is omitted when the previous period has no runs.
Trace expiry and link rendering
apps/web/src/page/code-review/kit/parts.ts, apps/web/src/page/code-review/ci/{view-runs,view-tables,ci.scene.test}.ts
traceKept checks whether a run’s trace is within 30 days after the UTC day containing its start. CI views pass the current time when rendering trace links. Expired traces do not produce links.
Review-sheet CI run lookback
apps/web/src/page/code-review/kit/review-sheet*.ts
The review sheet requests CI runs from the last 90 days. Its description and empty-state message now state that window.

Window clamping, bucket contiguity and trace expiry are pinned by the new tests; only ClickHouse's own weekly toStartOfInterval alignment is unproven by them.
no findings · tests covered · risk medium · 1/1 new units observable

The CI tab drops its two-week special case: long-range presets, a one-year ceiling, daily/weekly buckets and a 90-day PR sheet, with the server clamping to ci_runs' 366-day retention. Reads clean and is safe to merge.

  • ciWindow/CI_MAX_SPAN_MS clamp every CI read to the newest 366 days
  • ciBucketSeconds switches to daily past 32 days and weekly past 120
  • previous totals are skipped when the earlier window predates retention, hiding deltas
  • traceKept drops View trace for runs older than the 30-day span TTL
What was checked
  • traces TTL is toDate(Timestamp) + INTERVAL 30 DAY (local-schema-v1.sql:757), matching traceKept's UTC-day floor
  • Every traceLink/traceKept call site updated; no fitsCi, CI_PRESETS or CI_MAX_RANGE_MS reference survives at the head
  • Empty previous hides all deltas: relativeChange/rateChange return null on a zero or null base

Exercise non-empty weekly series rows.

The two-year test uses no ciRunSeries rows, so it checks only timeline generation. Add rows from two distinct weekly buckets and assert their counts at the expected positions. This is a focused, recommended regression guard for the annual series path.

@coderabbitai The weekly-series nitpick is fixed in 16027b0: the two-year test now feeds rows in two distinct weeks and asserts each lands in its own bar, with the neighbouring weeks empty.

🟢 Confidence 9/10 · safe to merge
Widened CI windows and new bucket tiers are pinned by backend and scene tests; only the daily tier is left unexercised.
1 note · tests partial −1 · risk medium

CI analytics now reads up to a year of ci_runs, with daily and weekly bars, a previous-period comparison skipped when the tables no longer hold it, and trace links hidden once traces expires. Safe to merge; one bucket tier is untested.

  • CI_MAX_SPAN_MS becomes a year (366 days) and the CI tab drops its 14-day cap
  • ciBucketSeconds adds daily (32–120 days) and weekly (beyond) tiers
  • Previous-period totals are skipped when retention no longer holds them
  • traceLink/traceKept drop the trace link once the run's UTC day is 30 days old

Findings

🔵 Note · F1 · New daily bucket tier (32–120 days) has no test

tests · packages/backend/src/services/pr-review/CiAnalyticsService.ts:63-64

ciBucketSeconds now returns DAY for a 32–120 day span, but the windows under test are only 30 days (six-hourly) and 366 days (weekly), so collapsing this branch to 6 * HOUR or HOUR keeps every test green and ships ~350 bars for a two-month window. Add an analytics case with a ~60-day window asserting bucketSeconds === 24 * 3600 and 60 filled buckets.

---

F1 · Note · tests · packages/backend/src/services/pr-review/CiAnalyticsService.ts:63-64
New daily bucket tier (32–120 days) has no test
`ciBucketSeconds` now returns `DAY` for a 32–120 day span, but the windows under test are only 30 days (six-hourly) and 366 days (weekly), so collapsing this branch to `6 * HOUR` or `HOUR` keeps every test green and ships ~350 bars for a two-month window. Add an `analytics` case with a ~60-day window asserting `bucketSeconds === 24 * 3600` and 60 filled buckets.
What was checked
  • Weekly bucket math holds: END = 2026-10-08 is exactly 2962 weeks from the epoch, so the two fixture rows land in the asserted bars
  • traceKept's UTC-day rounding matches the real TTL, toDate(Timestamp) + INTERVAL 30 DAY (apps/cli/src/server/chdb.ts:177, local-store-migrations/steps.ts:85)
  • TestClock imported from effect/testing, as the repo's other clock tests do (apps/ai/src/chat/progress.test.ts:4)

@maple-review-bot F1 is fixed in 26acc9d: a 60-day window now asserts daily buckets and 60 filled bars; collapsing the daily tier to six-hourly fails it.

@maple-review-bot

F1 is resolved by the test at packages/backend/src/services/pr-review/CiAnalyticsService.test.ts:130. Checked statically (no node_modules in the sandbox, and the only checks on 26acc9d are "Evals: skipped" / "Detect changes: queued", so I could not execute the suite):

  • A 60-day window gives spanMs = 5_184_000_000, which is > 32 * DAY * 1000 and <= 120 * DAY * 1000, so ciBucketSeconds (CiAnalyticsService.ts:58-65) lands on the DAY branch.
  • END = Date.UTC(2026, 9, 8) is midnight UTC, so first = Math.floor(startTime / bucketMs) * bucketMs equals startTime and fillSeries (:264-278) produces exactly ceil(60 days / 1 day) = 60 bars.
  • Either way of collapsing the tier fails the test: dropping the 120 * DAY branch would make 60 days fall through to weekly (bucketSeconds 604800 ≠ 86400, and 9 bars ≠ 60), and widening the six-hour threshold past 60 days would give 21600 and 240 bars.

Finding dismissed.

🟢 Confidence 10/10 · safe to merge
Delta since the last review is one test file, and its new cases pin the daily tier, the weekly buckets and the previous-period guard.
no findings · tests covered · risk low

Adds a two-month daily-bucket test, a previous-period retention guard test and a weekly-bucket landing test to CiAnalyticsService. Test-only since the last review; safe to merge.

Fixed since the last review

  • ✅ F1 · New daily bucket tier (32–120 days) has no test
What was checked
  • Daily tier pinned by the 60-day case (CiAnalyticsService.test.ts:130): 6-hour buckets would give 240 bars, not 60
  • Previous-period guard pinned by read counts at a TestClock of END (CiAnalyticsService.test.ts:143)
  • Weekly rows land in distinct epoch-aligned slots; fillSeries in CiAnalyticsService.ts:262 aligns on floor(startTime / bucketMs)
