Supported servers for Jaybird 4.0.x

  • Firebird 4.0.x (once released, may need Jaybird 4.0.1)
  • Firebird 3.0.x
  • Firebird 2.5.x

Supported servers for Jaybird 3.0.x

  • Firebird 3.0.x
  • Firebird 2.5.x
  • Firebird 2.1.x (support is dropped in Jaybird 4)
  • Firebird 2.0.x (support is dropped in Jaybird 4)

Supported servers for Jaybird 2.2.x (end-of-life, upgrade to Jaybird 4)

  • Firebird 3.0.x (no support for wire encryption/wire compression/Srp authentication)
  • Firebird 2.5.x
  • Firebird 2.1.x (support is dropped in Jaybird 4)
  • Firebird 2.0.x (support is dropped in Jaybird 4)
  • Firebird 1.5.x (support is dropped in Jaybird 3.0)
  • Firebird 1.0.x (support is dropped in Jaybird 3.0)

Jaybird 2.0 and later will NOT work with any of the Interbase servers, since it uses a Firebird-specific constant during attachment to get specific information about the Firebird server (we have to distinguish between FB 1.5 and FB 2.0).
