Closes #2154

🏷️ Part of HTTPXodus — a community effort to help major Python projects plan their path off the stalled httpx stable line onto httpx2, the actively maintained fork by Pydantic Services. One coordinated PR per project — no drive-by changes.

What this PR does

Migrates weaviate/weaviate-python-client from httpx to httpx2 via dual import.

Diff summary

  • 23 files, +89 / −22 (commit a5cde23)
  • setup.cfg: added httpx2>=2.12.0; python_version >= "3.10" alongside existing httpx>=0.26.0,<0.29.0
  • 22 source files: dual-import try/except
  • No public API surface change

Test results

Full pytest not run; pure import swap.

Notes for reviewer

  • httpx2 maintains compatible public API
  • requires-python unchanged
  • TLS/OS trust store change noted

Happy to revise per review 🙏

Use the actively maintained httpx2 fork (Pydantic Services) when
available, falling back to httpx. setup.cfg updated; 22 source
files migrated with try/except dual-import. Public API unchanged.
