Why?
Queues that do not produce per-project results currently need placeholder project IDs to load a change page. The status RPC already reads the request summary and repository result independently of project selectors; rejecting an empty selector list prevents the UI from using that information and loading request history.
What?
Allow an empty
projectslist inGetProjectStatusByURIand in the reference host's queue configuration. The same RPC returns request status, the repository result when recorded, and the request ID used to load history, with no per-project storage reads. The project section displays its existing empty state and raw project JSON is[].Remove the local demo's
exampleproject selectors. Nonempty project lists retain their existing validation and pagination. There are no new endpoints, wire fields, dependencies, or build configuration changes; generated binding changes only update the project-selector documentation.Test Plan
./tool/bazel test //stovepipe/controller:go_default_test //service/stovepipe/server/mapper:go_default_test //web:check //web/test/e2e/stovepipe:web_test --test_output=errors— backend, mapping, all web checks, and the real-stack browser suite. Coverage includes empty/nil selectors with and without a repository result, retained request history, empty project JSON, and normal project pagination.make protoand./tool/bazel run //web/api:generate— regenerated the updated field documentation; unrelated generator-version changes were excluded.make lint check-tidy check-gazelle— repository checks.Issue
None; this follows up on rendering Stovepipe queues without per-project results.
Revert Plan
Revert this commit and restore the previous project-selector configuration. Deploy the backend relaxation before configuring a separate web host with empty project arrays; older backends reject them.
Stack
Builds on #844. This layer contains the optional-project-selector behavior separately from the logging cleanup.
