Summary

  • The published demo gif was downscaled to 680x340 @ 6fps, which read soft once the Quickstart section started displaying it at 760px wide
  • Re-encoded from the same source .webm (1500x750) at 900x450 @ 8fps using a two-pass palette (palettegen/paletteuse, sierra2_4a dither) for a sharp result
  • Same content and length (~34s), file size goes from 1.5MB to ~2.9MB

Test plan

  • Extracted and visually compared sample frames old vs new: timeline labels and metric text are legible in the new version, were a blurry block before

Source recording is 1500x750; the published gif had been downscaled
to 680x340 at 6fps, which read soft once displayed at 760px in the
Quickstart section. Re-encoded from the same .webm at 900x450, 8fps,
two-pass palette (palettegen/paletteuse, sierra2_4a dither) for a
noticeably sharper result. Same content, same length (~34s).
