Reduce MPEG-TS/MP2 playback CPU without changing audio output, player appearance, or ordinary HTTP support.
-O3and consume the WASM output synchronously without an intermediate PCM copy.Real-broadcast measurements on M3 Max/Chrome showed approximately 13.2% lower complete-page CPU for 1080p and 4.1% for 1080i. The playback-engine harness at sustained 1.2x catch-up improved by 16.1%. MP2 software decoding was enabled, with enhancement and deinterlacing disabled; phone power and temperature were not measured.
Validation: 43 frontend tests, TypeScript checking, changed-file Biome checks, production frontend build, and macOS CMake Release build passed. MP2/WSOLA PCM matched the baseline byte for byte, demux/remux hashes matched, and ordinary-HTTP browser checks covered playback lifecycle plus desktop/keyboard/mobile-layout controls.
