Summary

Updates Selecting Quality Data Feeds to clarify that single-source feeds carry a different risk profile than aggregated market price feeds, per the Single Sourced Feeds Risk Program.

Three changes, all in src/content/data-feeds/selecting-data-feeds.mdx:

  • Custom Feeds intro — reframed around how custom feeds can differ materially from standard market price feeds in sourcing, methodology, update behavior, and risk profile; adds a prompt to closely assess single-source feed risk, linked to the Single Source Data Providers section.
  • Single Source Data Providers — replaced with fuller guidance on provider/source dependency risk (incorrect/omitted data, methodology changes, outages, delays, compromise), suitability considerations for value-securing use cases, and recommended safeguards.
  • Risk Mitigation — new Provider/source dependency controls bullet covering staleness/freshness checks, comparison against independent references, value bounds/caps, and fallback/pause behavior.

Notes

  • Docs-only change. format:check / lint / build were not run locally (no Node toolchain on the author machine) — relying on CI + the Vercel preview to validate.
  • Scope intentionally limited to the one page; no changes to SmartData, tokenized-equity, or Data Streams pages.

Update Selecting Quality Data Feeds to clarify that single-source feeds
carry a different risk profile than aggregated market price feeds:

- Reframe the Custom Feeds intro around sourcing/methodology/risk-profile
differences and link to the single-source section.
- Replace the Single Source Data Providers section with fuller guidance on
provider/source dependency risk, suitability, and recommended safeguards.
- Add a Provider/source dependency controls bullet under Risk Mitigation.
