I'm Robin Mollah, a Software Engineer with 12+ years of experience building systems that have to work beyond the happy path.
My work sits at the intersection of software architecture, AI, data engineering, cloud infrastructure, and automation.
I primarily work with Python, FastAPI, Flutter, Android development, AWS, GCP, data pipelines, AI systems, React, with a particular interest in building efficient, scalable solutions that minimize token usage, latency, infrastructure cost, and unnecessary complexity.
Over the years, I've worked on systems ranging from:
- ingesting millions of social-media messages per hour
- processing and analyzing terabytes of data without losing track of records
- real-time WebRTC streaming platforms
- SaaS and automation systems
- mobile applications
- customized operating systems for Wi-Fi router hardware
I enjoy problems involving scale, unusual constraints, difficult debugging, and unfamiliar systems.
Build it simply. Make it efficient. Understand how it actually works.

December 2023 - Present
- Active involvement with backend, frontend and DevOps development team
- Technical planning and distribution as workable tasks
- Destructuring Epics into actionable items, technical descriptions of specific things need to be done
- Overall architecture and design from the beginning of the requirement analysis, destructuring and structuring the tasks into a deliverable feature
- Reviewing PRs from Backend and DevOps team.
- Technical mentoring to team members, answering questions from all the teams.
- Responsible to manage the technical risks
- Leading technical documentations
- First point of contact on incident management
- Developing new features and maintaining FastAPI based backend applications.
- Maintaining Angular and react-based frontend applications.
Gradually, anything that requires quickly and robust, came to my table to make it done. I worked on different roles in different time periods. As I had the ability to deliver things quickly and had diverse skillset, I have been pulled into backend, frontend and DevOps mostly.
- Maintaining and improving several projects on NodeJS, ReactJS, Vue, Quasar
- NodeJS in Ubuntu, Cloud functions, Lambda and AppEngine
- ReactJS deployed in CloudFront, S3, Nginx’ed Linux server
- Linting, ensuring coding practices, scalability from dev and prod perspective
- Improving asynchronous workflow of developers
- CI/CD
- Managing cloud infrastructure of Video and Event Streaming Service
- Cost-efficient solution for graphics-heavy computation
- Ensuring the availability of network sensitive and mission-critical services worldwide
Our team developed a complex system to share unused WiFi bandwidth. I was responsible for:
- Developing complex networking-related systems like several microservices running in machines with no static IP.
- Developing the UI in React,
- Writing React Native Modules in Kotlin
- Developing Android apps in React Native
- Customizing router Linux OS,
- Making systems to control WiFi sharing This company gave me an opportunity to gain experience in a wider range.
- Managing large cloud infrastructure in AWS, Azure
- Optimizing networking between services
- Maintaining code repository
- Managing microservices and their interactions
- Attending meetings with different companies for requirement analysis and ensuring that the requirements can be met in all desktop computes, Android and iOs Devices.
- Containerising different services
