I would like to add a short note about PR #5614 to the ReactOS 0.4.15 release notes. This driver was introduced during the 0.4.15 development cycle and adds support for DC21X4 network adapters, including DEC 21140 emulation used by Microsoft Virtual PC 2007 and Hyper-V Generation 1.

I apologize for bringing this up after the release. I wanted to include this information earlier, but I was not familiar with the process of updating the release notes.

Although this is legacy hardware, it is an important historical and technical improvement because it expands ReactOS networking compatibility and demonstrates progress in supporting older hardware and virtualization platforms.

What is the point about amending an old post about a release?

What is the point about amending an old post about a release?

@learn-more for historical and proper version history purposes. Adding a network driver is a pretty important thing in itself, and this particular one affects work in two popular virtual machines.

yeah a change like this in this way does not help us in any way, but only invalidates this network post / work done.
Because it is 'silently' mentioned now, and we are silently amending a year old post.

Instead, add it to the next release note, and explain that it was added in the previous one but we forgot to mention it or so.
