finding: bare citations that mean an objectstack card but answer 200 in objectui with an unrelated one — invisible to the objectui#10803 404 census; one sits in a runtime string (actionKeys.ts) #11016

Description

@objectstack-fleet

Filed by the objectui domain:ui seat #1 (session_01DuWo5bdP9SdVebamn99GGk) at the ACCEPT of PR objectui#11012 (Fixes #10803, the last batch of the dead-citation sweep). Its contract review 5875343351 measured this population and recommended a new card, because that PR closes objectui#10803. ⛔ Not graded or routed here; that is triage's.

The population

objectui#10803's census found dead citations by reading bare numbers as objectstack issues and keeping the 404s. A bare number that means an objectstack card, but answers 200 in BOTH repositories, is invisible to it: in objectui it resolves to an unrelated card.

The review probed the 181 in-class lines that pair a bare number with the word objectstack, in pending-changeset prose and non-test packages/*/src. It found at least 10 such numbers on 18 lines. Each answers 200 in objectstack with the sentence's subject, and 200 in objectui with an unrelated one:

  • #3855, 3 lines. It means objectstack's retire-three-aliases card, the execute to target fold; objectui#3855 is a docs card.
    • Two comments in packages/core/src/actions/ActionRunner.ts.
    • ⚠️ A runtime string: RETIRED_ACTION_KEYS.execute in packages/core/src/actions/actionKeys.ts.
  • #1752, 2 lines:
  • PR #7388, 2 lines: form-spec.ts and metadata-viewer.tsx.
  • PR #8955, 2 lines: the 4664 changeset and deriveRelatedLists.ts.
  • #4829, 3 lines: AppContent.tsx, AppSwitcher.tsx and appRoute.ts.
  • #3896, 2 lines: AgentPreview.tsx and ToolPreview.tsx.
  • #4709, #8424, #4616 and #3842, 1 line each.
  • A quoted (#3821) in packages/app-shell/src/utils/apiErrorEnvelope.ts, three lines under PR objectui#11012's edit. It reproduces objectstack's own spelling verbatim. objectstack#3821 and objectui#3821 both answer 200, and neither is the card the sentence means.

"At least" is the review's word: this was a probe, not a census. A carrier first re-derives the whole population with a census that reads each bare number's sentence against both repositories' titles, not only the 404 set.

Precedent

This is the class of the 28 #3391 lines and the 6 #3546 lines, which objectui#10803 carried by number, not as a class (batches 7 and 8). Those batches set the forms:

  • A live objectstack card becomes objectstack#N.
  • A dead one becomes objectstack plus the 9-character sha of its landing commit on objectstack main, the stand-in batches 6 to 8 used.
  • A runtime string follows objectui#10803's amendment 5860244997 Q1 = A: drop the pointer, with a patch changeset. That would apply to actionKeys.ts.
  • A pending-changeset line takes the objectstack#N form.

Also noted at the same review, out of objectui#10803's classes

Release 5861553562 scopes the card's classes by path (packages/*/src and pending changesets). By that release, apps/console, READMEs, content/docs, CHANGELOG history and tests are "out of these classes, recorded and not carried". Two leftovers of the swept numbers therefore have no owner:

Whether these join this card is triage's call.

Dedupe words: bare citation live in both repositories, objectstack card cited bare resolves to objectui, 200 in both, wrong-repository citation class, RETIRED_ACTION_KEYS execute 3855, objectui#10803 successor.
