What changes

  • H34 is deleted: its rationale banner, CLAIM_NEAR_MISS_MARKER, looksLikeClaimContent and nearMissClaimSeparators (all read only by H34), h34ClaimShapedNonCanonicalSeparator, its band-registry row, its two-line call beside H2 in the sweep loop, and its self-test block.
  • H2 is untouched: h2AssigneeNoClaimComment and its call are byte-identical.
  • Prose pointers that named H34 now name H2 (an assigned card with no claim the marker reads) or H1 (an unassigned one): the CLAIM_COMMENT_MARKER docblock, the list-item marker note, the near-miss census overlap note, H33's blind-spot paragraph and its self-test comment, H50's population note, the H44/H64 artefact-recognition notes and the H60 band comment. Three test names changed (one H50 case and two BATTERY68 cases) with the same assertions.
  • One H60 case compared H60's band to H34's (familyBand('H60') === familyBand('H34')). With H34 gone, it now pins familyBand('H60') === 'state', the value both had.
  • No gate, row, constant or battery is added. No battery shrank, so no pin moved.

Why: every card H34 named is an H2 row

H34 returned null unless the card was pm-tracked (pm:queue or pm:dispatched), was assigned, had a readable thread and had no comment matching CLAIM_COMMENT_MARKER. Under those same conditions, h2AssigneeNoClaimComment returns true. So by construction, every H34 row sat on a card H2 already reported. H34 only added the separator's codepoint as a diagnosis. The sweep called both on the same thread in the same loop.

Measured by importing both trees (main at d280265 and this head) and judging 198 states: 6 label sets × 3 assignee sets × 11 threads (em dash, en dash, hyphen, fullwidth colon, blockquoted dash, canonical colon, dash plus colon, prose control, a null body, several near misses, and an empty thread):

  • H34 fired on 42 of the 198 states, and H2 fired on all 42 (0 misses).
  • H2's verdict is identical on all 198 states before and after.

Live on objectstack: 0 H34 rows in a full sweep finished 2026-11-02T23:43Z (code at d280265), per the #29471 pre-screen.

Verification

  • node scripts/pm/check-half-states.mjs --self-test on 9fcce36: 5166 cases pass (5202 at d280265, so 36 fewer). All 36 are the H34 block.
  • Every battery reads the same n/floor as at d280265, so nothing was re-pinned.
  • Net lines: +33 / −381 (−348), one file.
Local gates on 9fcce36 (`dispatch-gates --commands`)
  • On head 9fcce36, node scripts/pm/dispatch-gates.mjs --commands derived 47 commands. All 47 ran, each with a 900 s timeout, with exit codes recorded before any pipe. All 47 exited 0.
  • The --ran reconciliation printed: 47 derived famil(ies) accounted for — 47 run, 0 NOT-MEASURED.
  • node scripts/check-commit-card-trailers.mjs --range d280265b..HEAD: exit 0.
  • Prerequisite: pnpm install --frozen-lockfile.
  • Families CI runs beyond the derived list are read from this PR's check runs, not re-run locally.

Acceptance notes

  • What is lost is the diagnosis H34 added: the separator's codepoint and the "re-post with Claim:" remedy. The card is still reported, by H2's row "assignee set but no claim comment on the thread".
  • The ownership-marker near-miss census still names a dash-written claim as the separator form in its summary clause, so the spelling stays visible on the summary line.

Human Minimum

  • 1. Schemas start as Zod; packages/spec holds no runtime logic. (not touched)
  • 2. Every name I added uses the casing for its kind. (no names added)
  • 3. No formatter ran; pnpm lint passes. (no formatter ran; pnpm lint was not run locally, so the CI lint job decides it)
  • 4. One issue, one branch off an up-to-date main, one pull request.
  • 5. A change that publishes carries a changeset, and both declaration lines are filled in here and in the changeset. (publishes nothing: scripts/pm/** only; skip-changeset)
  • 6. packages/spec touched: its generated artifacts are regenerated and committed. (not touched)
  • 7. No hand edits to content/docs/references/, packages/*/CHANGELOG.md or content/docs/releases/.
  • 8. Title, body and comments are in English. (except the 维护者速读 block, which the seat contract writes in Chinese)
  • The Before Submitting list in CONTRIBUTING.md is done.

H34 fired only on a pm-tracked, assigned card with no claim the marker reads,
which is exactly the card H2 reports. Delete H34, the near-miss marker and
reader only it used, its self-test cases, its band row and its sweep call, and
re-point the prose that named it to H2 (assigned) and H1 (unassigned).

The PR body's measurements were read as input, not as conclusions; every count below is this review's own measurement. No environment variable value is printed anywhere in this record.

① Derived judgments

  1. File surface. One commit (9fcce36, author Claude, PR author objectstack-fleet[bot], head repo = base repo, draft, base main, trailers Co-Authored-By: Claude + Claude-Session: naming the dev session, no model identifier; check-commit-card-trailers exit 0 on the range). git diff --numstat d280265b 9fcce366, the REST file listing and the PR body agree on exactly one path, scripts/pm/check-half-states.mjs +33/−381 (blob 1f6d84fe → c3c39e8e). The claim's file surface (6591424775) was this file plus any skill or reference line naming H34 as a live row; git grep -I -E '\bH34\b|h34' over the whole merge-base tree returns, outside this file, only a pnpm-lock integrity hash and an 8h34m01s duration literal in os-verify-lock.sh's self-test, neither a row reference, so the second half of the surface is empty and the head tree carries no H34 mention at all. Correct, and on surface.
  2. H34 is gone as a row, whole. Removed on the head: the rationale block (≈110 lines), NON_CANONICAL_CLAIM_SEPARATORS, CLAIM_NEAR_MISS_MARKER, looksLikeClaimContent, nearMissClaimSeparators, export function h34ClaimShapedNonCanonicalSeparator, H34: 'state' in HALF_STATE_FAMILY_BAND (61 → 60 keys, measured by import), the two sweep-loop lines const nearMiss = … / if (nearMiss) findings.push([issue, 'H34', nearMiss]) and their comment, and the self-test block. The export set shrinks by exactly those five names and gains none (measured by diffing Object.keys of both modules: 559 → 554). On the merge-base, every reader of the five removed exports is inside the removed region itself: NON_CANONICAL_CLAIM_SEPARATORS is read only by CLAIM_NEAR_MISS_MARKER's constructor and nearMissClaimSeparators; CLAIM_NEAR_MISS_MARKER and looksLikeClaimContent only by nearMissClaimSeparators and the H34 cases; nearMissClaimSeparators only by the predicate and the H34 cases; the predicate only by the sweep loop and the H34 cases. Nothing under scripts/ci, .github, the other scripts/pm files, record-recognisers.mjs or any of the 17 files that import check-half-states.mjs named any of them. Correct. One note: the PR body's "What changes" lists four of the five removed exports and omits NON_CANONICAL_CLAIM_SEPARATORS; it is part of the H34 block the body does name, no behaviour, recorded here so the body's roster is complete in the record.
  3. H2 reports every card H34 reported. Structurally: H34 returned non-null only when the card was pm-tracked, assigned, the thread was an array and no body matched CLAIM_COMMENT_MARKER through markerMatches; under exactly those guards H2 returns !commentBodies.some(markerMatches(...)) = true. Measured by importing both trees over 1107 states: H34 fired on 170 (every pm-tracked, assigned state whose thread carried a near-miss spelling and no colon claim, across 17 thread shapes including CRLF, tab, lower-case, blockquoted, Claimed —, two and three near-miss comments, null/undefined/empty bodies ahead of the dash claim, the edited-to-dash body and a dash claim among noise); the head's H2 fires on all 170, 0 misses; the merge-base's H2 also fired on all 170, so the card was already double-reported and loses one of two rows. H2's verdict is identical on all 1107 states between trees. On the adversarial shapes where H34 was silent by design (dash plus colon in one thread or one body, colon then dash, - Claim: and * Claim: list items, **Claim —**, contentless Claim - see above, bullet-next-line, inflected Claiming, the Claim pointer: word separator) H2's verdict is likewise unchanged, so no card gains or loses a report there either. Edge inputs: on an undefined or null thread H34 declined where H2 throws, on both trees, but the sweep only ever hands H2 the array commentsFor() returns, so the difference is unreachable from the loop and is not a coverage loss. Correct; the PR body's 198/42/42 reproduces in shape on a wider grid.
  4. H2, its readers and the sweep branch are untouched. h2AssigneeNoClaimComment, markerMatches, CLAIM_COMMENT_MARKER, ownershipMarkerNearMisses and the eight OWNERSHIP_MARKER_NEAR_MISS_FORMS ids are byte-identical as source text between trees (measured by String(fn) and the ids list), and the only sweep-loop lines removed are the H34 call and its comment; the else if (assigned && pm-tracked) branch, its commentsFor(issue) fetch and the H2 push stay. The near-miss census that H67's summary clause reads (markerNearMiss* counts, the separator form with its own [:–—-] class) is not in the diff and returns identical results on both trees over all 41 probe threads; on the head a dash-written claim still reads as form: 'separator', so the spelling stays visible on the summary line as the PR body's acceptance note says. Correct.
  5. No remaining reference to H34 anywhere. git grep -I -E '\bH34\b|h34' over the whole head tree returns only the two false positives named in 1; the five removed symbol names return nothing; scripts/adr-anchors/ holds no anchor on this file; half-state-patrol.yml and its composite action name no row; record-recognisers.mjs's "near-miss" lines are about Clause-② arms and seat signatures, not this row. platform-readings.md:357, the rule the pre-screen cited for H34, names CLAIM_COMMENT_MARKER and its two accepted spellings, which this PR does not touch. Correct.
  6. The self-test count and its decomposition. Head 5166, merge-base 5202, difference 36. From the diff: 38 t( lines removed and 2 added; the 2 added are the renamed H60 band case and the renamed H50 case, which replace 2 of the 38 removed; the remaining 36 removed lines all begin t('H34: and none is a loop (the one for in the removed region is inside nearMissClaimSeparators). 36 = 5202 − 5166 exactly. Two b( lines removed and two added, both BATTERY68 renames with the same assertion (markerMatches(CLAIM_COMMENT_MARKER, 'Claim — …') false; miss68('Claim — …').form 'separator'). Correct, and the PR body's "all 36 are the H34 block" reproduces.
  7. No battery shrank, no pin moved. The battery roster printed by both self-tests is identical in order and in every n/floor: H66 182/172, H19 37/34 and 26/16, H65 46/42, H67 158/158, H2/H47/H66 213/184, ISSUE_BODY_LIMIT 55/52, H19/H26 11/10, H68 26/24, H9 10/9, lane aliases 25/22, yielded claim 21/19, H69 70/40, H43 89/80, H70/H71 31/30, H72 22/20, H73 28/25. Correct.
  8. The H60 band case. familyBand('H60') === familyBand('H34') became familyBand('H60') === 'state'; on the merge-base both sides evaluated to 'state' (measured by import), so the pin's value is unchanged and it no longer depends on a removed key. The registry-coverage pin still passes on the head (self-test green), which is what a stale H34: 'state' row would have broken. Correct.
  9. Prose re-pointing. The CLAIM_COMMENT_MARKER docblock (two places), the list-item note, the MARKER_LIST_ITEM_PREFIX docblock, the near-miss census overlap note, releaseAnnouncementHeading's note, H33's two paragraphs and its self-test comment, H44's and H72's artefact-recognition lists, H50's OUT line, the HALF_STATE_FAMILY_BAND H60 comment, the self-test wrapper comment and the gov comment now say H2 (assigned) or H1 (unassigned) or drop the H34 clause. Each statement that asserts behaviour is true on the head: an assigned pm-tracked card with a dash claim is H2's row (measured in 3); the fullwidth spelling reads as no claim (measured); the census's separator form is the shape H2 reports as claimless on an assigned card (measured). Two nits are recorded in ③. No output string changed by these edits.
  10. Gates. check-governed-merges.mjs --branch HEAD: 0 of 1 path hit the register, NOT governed, 414 changed lines, exit 0; the claim and the PR body say the same. Of the 47 derived commands, 47 ran here, 38 exit 0 and reproduce the dev's "all 47 exit 0" for the subset this container can run (the file's own gates among them: check:pm-half-states 5166 cases, check:pm-dispatch-gates 1945 fast-tier cases in 242 s, check:scripts-symbol-anchors 4177 anchors resolve with 0 dangling after the deletion, check:self-test-wired in both forms with the check:pm-half-states alias still paired to its lint.yml step, check:pm-post-stamped 753 cases, check:commit-card-trailers, check:closing-target-claim, check:partof-closing-keyword, check:single-claim-paths, check:issue-citations); the other 9 stop on this container's missing dependency (yaml ×5, typescript ×2, @typescript-eslint/parser ×1 as PREREQUISITE NOT MET exit 3; @changesets/cli ×1 as Cannot find package exit 1 inside check-self-test-workflow-commands), none on the diff, those nine NOT MEASURED locally and read from CI instead: Lint · repo & tooling gates, Lint · CI, release & engine gates, Lint · PM dispatch-gates, Lint · docs & code guards, Lint · scoped · tooling self-tests and Lint & Repo Gates are all success on the head. check:pm-half-states is the alias CI runs for this file (lint.yml line 1265, in Lint · repo & tooling gates, success on the head). The half-state-patrol.yml pull_request trigger fires on this path and runs the live sweep with the head's code; its conclusion is read in the Check-runs line.
  11. PR body against the head. First content line Part of #29471, zero verbs beside the card number; the body's only issue number is 29471 (three mentions); a case-insensitive scan for close/fix/resolve forms within reach of a #<n> returns nothing; Clause-②: no and Metadata-protocol: none are present as their own lines and right (no published package, no spec, no governed text); PR-body guards check success. The body's numbers (5166/5202, 36, +33/−381, 47 commands, exit 0 for governed-merges and trailers, H2 byte-identical, H34 ⊂ H2) all reproduce. The acceptance notes (the separator diagnosis is lost, the report is not; the census still names the separator form) are accurate. No model identifier in body, title or commit. The "Human Minimum" item 3 honestly says pnpm lint was not run locally; Lint · ESLint is success on the head. Correct.
  12. Nothing new on any surface: no gate, no row, no constant, no label, no workflow, no package. The card asked for deletion "with their self-test cases; no behaviour change in the rows that stay"; H2's predicate and call are byte-identical, so this PR meets the card's literal wording as well as the R1 line (6589866189: no state loses its report), and 3 above measures that none does. Correct.

② Semver level

None. No published package, no packages/spec/src/**, no TypeScript; a scripts/pm tool's predicate and self-test. skip-changeset is the right declaration and Check Changeset is success on the head.

③ Boundary flags

  • Dev open_questions: none in the pre-screen (6591407246, open_questions: []); the R4–R11 report is that pre-screen and the PR body. The pre-screen's two out_of_scope_findings (H23 on d280265's squash message; H8 on scripts/pm grew by about 7,900 lines in a week while the skill text is ratcheted: census the half-state rows and fleet tools by reader, delete what nobody reads, and make the next 30 days net-negative #29471 itself and four other Part of cards) do not bear on this PR.
  • The pre-screen's condition "holds only while H2 stays" is honoured: H2 is untouched, and the claim (6591424775) records that no later family may delete H2. The PR body says the same. No flag.
  • Prose nit 1: the re-pointed sentences say an unassigned card with a dash claim is "H1's" row. H1 reads pm:dispatched only, so an unassigned pm:queue card with a dash claim has no row on the head; it had none on the merge-base either (H34 required an assignee, and its own header named the same residual for pm:dispatched only), so nothing is lost, and the sentence is accurate for the dispatched population the surrounding paragraphs are about. Noted, not flagged.
  • Prose nit 2: the HALF_STATE_FAMILY_BAND H60 comment now reads "That is a live card that contradicts itself … and both are repaired on the board", where "both" formerly paired H60 with H34 and now has no antecedent. A comment with no behaviour and no reader; belongs to whichever family next touches that block. Recorded here, not a should-fix.
  • PR body roster: NON_CANONICAL_CLAIM_SEPARATORS is removed but not named in the body's list of removed symbols (① 2). No behaviour; recorded so the record's roster is complete.
  • Independence: PR author objectstack-fleet[bot], commit author Claude, commit Claude-Session: is the dev session (session_01J8VVAmM3BRQQcQSA67VE3L), not the reviewer's; no off-relay author note is owed. The PR thread carries the seat's Contract-review-claim: for this head (6591656047) and no other record; 0 reviews, 0 requested reviewers.
  • Not governed, Tier S path: landing by the ordinary queue once the check-runs are all green.

④ Design judgment

Per hits file, against the card's scenario (a row with no named reader and no 30-day citation costs a self-test and a live pass on every patrol run; the discipline text gives such an instrument deletion as its only in-flight work), the R1 line (no state loses its report) and the R3 ruling's three screens (a rule it enforces, its live count, coverage by a staying row):

  • scripts/pm/check-half-states.mjs, H34's removal: the right row, and cut whole. Of the twenty rows pre-screened, H34 alone passed all three screens, and the third holds by construction rather than by population: its guards are H2's guards plus a stricter condition, so its row set is a subset of H2's on every board, not only the one measured. The rationale block, the separator table, the marker, the content filter and the reader existed only for each other and for the predicate; with the row gone there is no second reader of any of them, and leaving the band row would leave the registry naming a code the loop never pushes. Holds.
  • What is lost is only the diagnosis: the codepoint name and the "re-post with Claim:" remedy that H34's sentence carried. The report survives as H2's row, and the spelling survives on the summary line as the census's separator form (measured identical on both trees), so a seat reading the sweep still sees that a dash claim exists on the board, if not which card it is on. The ruling's constraint was the report, not the diagnosis; the PR body states the trade in its acceptance notes rather than hiding it. Holds.
  • H2 untouched byte for byte, rather than widened to carry H34's sentence: the right choice. The 2026-08-11 ruling the removed header quoted makes Claim: the single machine criterion and closes widening; folding H34's separator names into H2's sentence would have changed a staying row's output string, which the card forbids and the ruling did not license. Holds.
  • The 36 cases go with the row and nothing is re-pinned: every removed case asserted a removed symbol's behaviour or the removed row's sentence; the four that also asserted CLAIM_COMMENT_MARKER's strictness on dash/fullwidth/prose specimens are covered on the head by H33's two cases, BATTERY68's two renamed controls and H2's own prose-control cases, so the ruling's strictness is still pinned from the marker's side. The three renames and the H60 re-pin keep their assertions. Holds.

Must-fix: none. Should-fix: none (two comment nits and one PR-body roster omission are recorded in ③, none with behaviour).

Check-runs at record time (2026-11-03T00:18Z): 51 check-runs on 9fcce36, 31 success, 20 skipped, 0 failure, 0 in progress on the final read (a 30-second poll that ended when the last run, Test Core (1/8), completed and the aggregate Test Core job appeared as success); the reads over about thirty minutes went 14 → 28 → 28 → 29 → 31 success with no non-success completion at any read. Success: Live half-state sweep (the half-state-patrol.yml pull_request run that executes the head's sweep against the real board, with no H34 row to print), Test Core and its shards (1/8) and (2/8), Lint & Repo Gates, Lint · repo & tooling gates (the job that runs pnpm check:pm-half-states), Lint · CI, release & engine gates, Lint · PM dispatch-gates, Lint · docs & code guards, Lint · ESLint, Lint · scoped · tooling self-tests, Lint · scoped · slot lookup & corpus, Lint · scoped · query-options erasure, TypeScript Type Check and Type Check · workspace / source gates / debt ledger / consumer gates, Test UI, PR-body guards, Check Changeset, Check PR Size, Dogfood Regression Gate, Governed Surface Queue Guard, Plan Test Core shards, Auto Label, Live required-set sweep, Platform checklist gate sweep, Release section-coverage sweep, Snapshot the board to the archive branch, filter. Skipped by path filter or opt-in: Build Core, Build Docs, Build UI Deps, Build & E2E UI, Live E2E UI, Lint UI, Type Check UI, UI Published Artifacts, Dogfood Verify CLI, Temporal Conformance, Schedule gate, 18.x upgrade harness, Packed-tarball smoke, and the matrix placeholders. mergeable_state blocked (draft), auto_merge null, labels size/m, skip-changeset; not governed; every check is green on this head, so once the seat flips it out of draft the ordinary queue landing applies (the landing pre-check re-reads the check-runs on the head it lands).

维护者速读

  • 改了什么: 从 check-half-states.mjs 删除巡检行 H34(认领评论分隔符写错的诊断)及其 36 个自测用例和只有它用的 5 个辅助导出。净 −348 行,一个文件。
  • 为什么改: scripts/pm grew by about 7,900 lines in a week while the skill text is ratcheted: census the half-state rows and fleet tools by reader, delete what nobody reads, and make the next 30 days net-negative #29471 的预筛里,R4–R11 的 20 行中只有 H34 三项全过:无读者、现存 0 行,且凡它报的卡 H2 都同时报。
达档复核 PASS(6591933608)。

  3. 门禁 check-runs(钉 head 9fcce366): 51 条全部完成,success 31 / skipped 20 / failure 0,含 Live half-state sweep。
  5. 范围外去向: R2–R11 其余 19 行按预筛保留;scripts/pm grew by about 7,900 lines in a week while the skill text is ratcheted: census the half-state rows and fleet tools by reader, delete what nobody reads, and make the next 30 days net-negative #29471 的净减目标转由 T2/T3(Tier H 工具删除)承担,另行认领。
  6. 落地条款: 非受治理。本席 pr_ready + automerge_enable。
