Mika

Local-first desktop software for Linux and Windows, written in Rust, Python with Qt Quick, and C++. I build tools I use myself, and I keep them small.

My projects, one at a time: Rewa, Calendary, Filyy, Blinky, PIDRA and Crosshype, each with what it does.

Rewa: Instant replay recorder for Windows and Arch Linux, GPU-encoded, held in memory (Rust) Calendary: Desktop calendar for Google and iCloud, on Linux and with a Windows installer (Python 路 Qt Quick) Filyy: Keyboard-friendly file manager for Hyprland (Python 路 Qt Quick) Blinky: A small character for every Claude Code and Codex session, on its terminal (Python 路 QML) PIDRA: Keyboard-first process manager for the terminal (Rust 路 Ratatui) Crosshype: Crosshair overlay for Wayland, with a TUI builder that previews the real overlay (Python)

Open source

  • Ported boltsnap and eddy to Windows: native capture, MSI and NSIS installers, release CI
  • 18 merged pull requests, 6 of them in other people's repositories

Header and cards are drawn by scripts/build-profile.py.
