Description
The battery, charger status, and generic SAM child devices are not being recognized or initialized by the kernel. While surface_serial_hub successfully communicates with the SAM firmware, the device tree topology fails to instantiate any child devices, leaving the aggregator bus completely empty.
Steps Reproduced
- Booted using the official
linux-surface kernel package.
- Verified that appending
surface_aggregator.gpe=0x4E helps initialize platform power management profiles, but does not bring up the battery interface.
- Manually loading
surface_battery or trying to bind via legacy ACPI paths does not work because no power nodes exist.
