Issues

• The default 5-minute GitOptions.Timeout aborts any Clone/Fetch/Push/UpdateSubmodules that runs longer, with no per-call override, and its documented justification is stale

• Log().IncludingAllRefs().ExcludingRemoteTrackingRefs() reports commits the remote already has as "exist only here" when git maintenance prefetch is on (refs/prefetch is swept in by --all)

• A Clone that times out or is cancelled leaves a half-made .git in the destination: IsClonedAsync() then returns true, Status() reports a clean empty repo, and every retry fails with "already exists and is not empty"

• Branches() can't tell which branches have a gone upstream

• Diff() reports a conflicted text file twice (Unmerged and Modified), breaking its "one entry per path" contract

• AddWorktree(path).CheckingOut(branch) silently creates a detached worktree when the name is a remote branch (e.g. "origin/main" from Branches()) or a tag, not a local branch

• Fetch().AllRemotes(): a refused tag on one remote hides another remote failing outright. TryExecuteAsync reports success with HasRejections, and the exception message omits the unreachable remote

• UpdateSubmodules() reports success without checking out the recorded commit when submodule.<name>.update is none/merge/rebase

• Log() and Commit() return garbled non-ASCII text, and Commit() writes mojibake, on hosts that set i18n.logOutputEncoding / i18n.commitEncoding

• Pull() rebase conflict raises GitPullConflictException saying "mid-merge"; caller can't tell the repository is actually mid-rebase

• SetRemoteUrl fails with "could not set 'remote.origin.pushurl'" on a remote with several push URLs, which Remotes() now reports

• Inherited GIT_ICASE/GLOB/NOGLOB_PATHSPECS breaks every path-taking verb, and inherited GIT_QUARANTINE_PATH breaks every ref-updating verb: the environment overlay doesn't clear them

• Cancelling a GitHubProvider call does nothing once it has started: GetRepositoriesAsync keeps paging a large org after the token is signalled

• With diff.ignoreSubmodules=all in the user's config, Status() reports clean and Diff()/Patch() report nothing despite submodule commits and untracked files

• Plain Fetch() never fetches submodule commits on git ≥ 2.41: --porcelain silently forces recursion off, overriding git's on-demand default and the user's config
