I would like to have the possibility to define multiple extra user entry options aside from the built-in Jamf organisational options (department, building, etc). The choices can be written back to the setupmanager userdata file. After entering the data it could be picked up by a script action or with a recon and extension attribute combination for scoping policies via smartgroups.
For instance:
- choose between a quick or complete setup in shops where Adobe software is used: quick only installs the Desktop application, complete will do the major big apps
- choose between different app setups so when Self Service Onboarding starts it can differentiate on what to install by scoping via smartgroups (much like above).
Currently I'm misusing the department or building option for this in some cases. But this list grows rather big (f.i. two entry options with two choices each gives 4 possible outcomes, multiplied with the number of departments) and this clutters the list.
