Hazel's PC-98 inspired header: Hi, I'm Hazel! .NET developer, AI engineer and open-source maker. Building things and proving they work.

Portfolio Β· Engineering blog Β· LinkedIn Β· Email

I'm Hazel (she/they), a Texas-based full-stack developer building with C#, .NET, Angular, and cloud tooling. I love local-first desktop applications, developer experience, and AI engineering grounded in evaluation rather than vibes.

I build useful things for hobbies and work, and I believe a good tool should be reliable, approachable, and a little bit cozy. β™‘

πŸ–₯️ Featured software

  • XIV Vault β€” XIVLauncher + Dalamud backups Β· C# / .NET / Avalonia
  • Gil Sweep β€” A better way to farm gil Β· C# / FFXIV / market data
  • PR Sweep β€” Make your review queue make sense Β· Angular / Electron / TypeScript
  • Prompuff β€” Your favorite prompts, kept close Β· Avalonia / SQLite / local-first

Apparently, my response to a minor inconvenience is to build an entire app about it.

πŸ€– AI engineering Β· proving what works

sdl3-porter is a Claude Code plugin for migrating C and C++ projects from SDL2 to SDL3. It catches runtime behavior changes that a compiler can miss. Each of its 17 proven traps has a working SDL2 original, a naive SDL3 port that compiles but fails, and a corrected port. In whole-game evals, Haiku 4.5 scored 0.39 without the skill and 0.92 with it, and the plugin was tested against real-world codebases including Woof! and scrcpy.

πŸ“– Every trap is proven: building an agent skill you can trust β€” my write-up on regression fixtures, evaluation design, agent debugging and documenting known limitations.

Also exploring agent infrastructure through Axiomarium, an open lab for agents, skills, hooks, policies and evaluations.

🧠 My toolbox

  • πŸ’  Applications β€” C#, .NET, ASP.NET, Entity Framework, Dapper, SQL, Angular, TypeScript
  • πŸ–₯️ Desktop β€” Avalonia UI, Electron, SQLite, local-first applications
  • πŸ€– Agents β€” Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Codex, MCP, agent skills and behavioral evals
  • ☁️ Delivery β€” Azure, AWS, Docker, devcontainers, CI/CD, GitHub Actions
  • πŸ§ͺ Quality β€” xUnit, Jest, regression testing, maintainable architecture
  • πŸ¦€ Curiosities β€” Rust, Go, C++, systems programming and games

🌿 Outside the terminal

FFXIV, JRPGs, anime and yuri manga, shoegaze and metal, long walks, and listening to people enthusiastically explain their latest obsession.
