ndarray v0.10.0 and v0.11.0 added thirteen dtypes, numpy.linalg, numpy.fft, numpy.random, Repr/Display and MarshalBinary. This site still described v0.9.1's float64-only library.

New pages, mirrored from ndarray's own docs at v0.11.0:

  • Dtypes ← docs/design-dtypes.md
  • Linear algebra ← docs/linalg.md
  • Random numbers ← docs/random.md

Roadmap is now a declared mirror of docs/plan-ndarray.md. It had drifted: it still said "Today (v0.2.5)".

scripts/sync-mirrors.sh <ndarray checkout> <tag> re-syncs those four pages and performance.md:

  • It refuses a checkout that is not at the tag.
  • It rewrites the source's relative links: a mirrored file becomes its page, a package directory becomes pkg.go.dev at the tag, and any other file becomes a GitHub link at the tag.
  • It fails on a relative link it has no rule for. I checked this by appending one to a scratch copy of the source: exit 1, with the file and line named.

Home page:

  • The description now covers all thirteen dtypes.
  • The API table adds dtypes, comparisons, linalg, fft, random and Repr/Display/MarshalBinary. Every function name is checked to exist at v0.11.0.
  • The SIMD paragraph said riscv64 and s390x run pure Go, but v0.9.0 gave them kernels; it now says so.

Versioning:

  • params.ndarray.version: v0.11.0, so CI publishes /docs/0.11/; /docs/0.9/ stays.
  • I ran publish-version.sh on a scratch tree holding 0.1, 0.2 and 0.9. It lists 0.11 first and points latest at it, because it sorts numerically rather than as text.

Unchanged sources: SECURITY.md and docs/perf.md have not changed since v0.9.1. The security page now says "at v0.11.0", and the sync leaves performance.md byte-identical.

ndarray v0.10.0 and v0.11.0 added thirteen dtypes, numpy.linalg,
numpy.fft, numpy.random, Repr/Display and MarshalBinary; the site still
described v0.9.1's float64-only library.

- Three new pages mirror ndarray's own docs: dtypes.md (design-dtypes.md),
linalg.md and random.md. The roadmap becomes a declared mirror of
plan-ndarray.md too: it had drifted (it still said "Today (v0.2.5)").
- scripts/sync-mirrors.sh re-syncs those four and performance.md from a
checkout at a tag, refusing one that is not at it. It rewrites the
source's relative links (mirrored file -> its page, package directory
-> pkg.go.dev at the tag, other file -> GitHub at the tag) and fails on
a relative link it has no rule for; checked by appending one to a
scratch copy of the source (exit 1, file and line named).
- Home: the description, the API table (dtypes, comparisons, linalg,
fft, random, Repr/Display/MarshalBinary; every name checked to exist
at v0.11.0), and the SIMD paragraph, which still said riscv64 and
s390x run pure Go although v0.9.0 gave them kernels.
- params.ndarray.version v0.11.0, so CI publishes /docs/0.11/; 0.9 stays.
publish-version.sh run on a scratch tree with 0.1/0.2/0.9 puts 0.11
first and points latest at it (numeric sort, not 0.9 > 0.11).
- security.md: SECURITY.md is unchanged since v0.9.1, so "at v0.11.0".
- performance.md: docs/perf.md is unchanged since v0.9.1; the sync
  leaves the page byte-identical.
