Summary

Checked recent GitHub Copilot updates (CLI changelog v1.0.83/1.0.84, Copilot app changelog v1.1.15) against the Learning Hub and added a few small documentation updates for newly released features that weren't yet covered.

New features/changes found

  • Vim mode (Copilot CLI v1.0.84+) — /vim command or editorMode: vim setting for modal editing in the composer.
  • /goal command (Copilot app v1.1.15+) — sets a persistent objective for autopilot to work towards across multiple continuation turns in a local session.
  • MCP server install via deep link (Copilot app v1.1.15+) — opens a prefilled review form for confirmation before adding a server.
  • Power BI MCP connector (Copilot app v1.1.15+) — added to the connector catalog with hosted and local server options.
  • Attach images/videos to PR descriptions (Copilot app v1.1.15+) — via paste, drag, or file picker, in addition to the existing link action.

Sections updated

  • website/src/content/docs/learning-hub/copilot-configuration-basics.md — added editorMode setting and a Vim mode callout.
  • website/src/content/docs/learning-hub/github-copilot-app.md — added /goal command, MCP deep-link install, Power BI connector, and PR media attachment notes; bumped lastUpdated.

Sources

Other pages (MCP servers, custom agents, glossary, etc.) were already up to date with recent CLI releases (through v1.0.83) and required no changes. cli-for-beginners was intentionally left untouched per instructions.
