What

The collector's prompts and choices recommend heal mode and keep the runtime's anonymous diagnostics on (owner decision, 2026-11-05), and the choice that was "Eager" is "Heal".

  • telemetry-worker/src/pages.ts. The sub-choice "Eager" (aggressiveness eager under guard) is "Heal" (mode heal) on /start/open-source and in the dashboard's Connect dialog. Guard and Heal start ticked (DEFAULT_CHOICES), so the default prompt sets mode: "heal", data-mode="heal" and --mode heal; no prompt writes an aggressiveness line or a GENCLASS_CONFIG aggressiveness script any more. /start/open-source no longer turns telemetry off by default: init creates the app's free dashboard link, and a new choice, "Nothing sent to genclass.dev" (quiet), restores --no-telemetry, telemetry: false and data-telemetry="off". The mode step describes heal in the README's words (discards and rollbacks can be undone; a breaker steps the mode down after repeated undos) and lists all of heal's actions; the Heal note carries the measured 0.59% / 0.00% wrong-intervention rates; the MCP step says what GENCLASS_DASHBOARD and GENCLASS_REPORT do instead of "leave them unset" (unless quiet). setupCommand, the /start/<secret> key snippets, the Connect dialog's code snippets and the analytics prompt's fallback say --mode heal, /auto/heal and data-mode="heal". MCP_PKG is @genclass/mcp@0.2.2, the release on npm.
  • telemetry-worker/README.md, src/collector.ts. The route rows and the comment describe the new defaults and the quiet choice.
  • packages/runtime/README.md. The "For AI coding agents installing GenClass" steps use --mode heal instead of "keep the default observe mode", and say the Modes table still labels heal experimental.
  • Tests. telemetry-worker/test/*: 383 pass (16 files), with new tests for the quiet choice, the ticked defaults and the restore-on-pageshow behaviour.

Not changed, on purpose

  • The runtime itself: observe is still its default, aggressiveness: "eager" keeps its API name, and the modes table still labels heal experimental. The user-facing choice is what was renamed.
  • Nothing under packages/ except the README section above.

After merging

  • wrangler deploy from telemetry-worker/ (the owner) is what changes genclass.dev/start and the dashboards; merging alone changes nothing live.
  • The site side of the same decision is genclass-dev/genclass-site PR site/skill-and-open-source.

…cs on by default, a quiet choice; the README's agent steps say --mode heal

/start/open-source and the dashboard's Connect dialog recommend heal mode and keep the runtime's anonymous diagnostics
on (owner, 2026-11-05). The sub-choice "Eager" (aggressiveness eager under guard) is now "Heal" (mode heal); Guard and
Heal start ticked (DEFAULT_CHOICES), so the default prompt sets `mode: "heal"`, `data-mode="heal"` and `--mode heal`,
and no prompt writes an aggressiveness line any more. /start/open-source no longer turns telemetry off by default:
init creates the app's free dashboard link, and a new choice, "Nothing sent to genclass.dev" (quiet), restores
`--no-telemetry`, `telemetry: false` and `data-telemetry="off"`. The mode step says what heal does in the README's
words (discards and rollbacks can be undone; a breaker steps the mode down after repeated undos), the Heal note carries
the measured 0.59% / 0.00% wrong-intervention rates, and the MCP step says what GENCLASS_DASHBOARD and GENCLASS_REPORT
do instead of "leave them unset", unless quiet. setupCommand, the /start key snippets, the Connect dialog's snippets and
the analytics prompt's fallback say `--mode heal`, `/auto/heal` and `data-mode="heal"`; MCP_PKG is 0.2.2, the release
on npm. packages/runtime/README.md's "For AI coding agents installing GenClass" steps use `--mode heal` instead of
"keep the default observe mode" (the Modes table's experimental label stays). The runtime itself is unchanged:
observe is still its default, and the aggressiveness profile keeps its API name.

Tests: telemetry-worker 383 pass (16 files), with new tests for the quiet choice and the ticked defaults.
