test(benchmarks): compare Bunnymark across GocciaScript versions on any machine - #12
Conversation
…ny machine benchmarks/fleet-bunnymark.sh runs the last 0.10.0 revision and a current revision side by side on one machine and prints Markdown table rows, so the same measurement can be repeated across machines.

It also updates the README, records results for five machine and renderer combinations, and revises the project handoff. ChangesFleet Bunnymark benchmark

…hree machines The fleet script ran on an Apple M5 Max, an Apple M1 Max and a Ryzen 9 6900HX with two GPUs and software rendering. The instanced path gains 15 to 20% from 0.10.0 to 0.14.0 on every hardware renderer; DrawTextureV is flat.

- Around line 7-8: Update the current-task entry in the handoff around the
Bunnymark comparison so it no longer asks contributors to collect results or
update the benchmark file; replace it with only the remaining action, preserving
the completed results and benchmark record.
Review comments at @benchmarks/fleet-bunnymark.sh:
- Around line 68-71: Update goccia_binary to check whether the find result is
empty before calling chmod; on a missing binary, remove the incomplete directory
and exit with an error so command substitution cannot receive an empty path and
a later run can download again.

…nnot be fetched A failed download or a missing binary inside goccia_binary went unnoticed because bash does not exit on errors inside a command substitution, and a half-extracted directory blocked the retry. Each step now reports its own failure and the release is extracted beside its final path.
The 0.10.0 versus 0.14.0 Bunnymark comparison had only been run by hand on one machine. This adds
benchmarks/fleet-bunnymark.sh, which makes it one command on any macOS or Linux machine, and records the results from three machines inbenchmarks/import-binding-aliases.md.The script downloads both GocciaScript releases, extracts the last 0.10.0 revision and a current revision (default: tag
0.1.0), runs both draw paths in interleaved rounds, and prints Markdown table rows plus the per-run frame times. A copy outside a clone fetches its own clone, so it also works piped fromcurl. It needs raylib 6.0 as a dynamic library (brew install raylibon macOS).Results
10,000 sprites, uncapped, 100 frames per run, three interleaved runs. "0.10.0" is
70a0453on GocciaScript 0.10.0; "0.14.0" is tag0.1.0on GocciaScript 0.14.0, so the change is engine and example together. The instanced path gains 15 to 20% on every hardware renderer; the per-sprite path stays within 5% either way. The two GPUs on the Ryzen machine give the same instanced frame rate, because at 10,000 sprites the frame is bound by the JavaScript update loop (about 27.6 ms of a 28.2 ms frame on the RX 6600M).
