…on writes `Pass`) dbt Fusion writes source freshness statuses capitalized (`Pass`, `Warn`, `Error`), dbt-core lowercase. `normalized_source_freshness_status` only matched lowercase, so `Pass` reached the report unchanged, the status cell found no entry in the report's status map and the test-results page rendered blank. Lowercase in the macro, which edr applies when reading, so rows already stored are fixed too, and make the source freshness alert's runtime-error check case-insensitive. Fixes #2402
Problem
dbt Fusion (the dbt v2 engine) writes source freshness statuses capitalized (
Pass,Warn,Error), while dbt-core writes them lowercase.normalized_source_freshness_statusonly matched lowercase values, soPassreached the report unchanged. The "Last run status" cell found no entry for it in the report's status map, rendering threw, and the test-results page went blank.Fix
normalized_source_freshness_statuscompares and returnslower(status). edr applies it when readingdbt_source_freshness_results, so rows that are already stored are fixed too, not just new ones. The source freshness alerts use the same macro, so a FusionErrornow normalizes tofailthere as well.SourceFreshnessAlertModelgets anis_runtime_errorproperty that comparesoriginal_statuscase-insensitively, used byerror_messageandsummary.Testing
tests/unit/monitor/alerts/test_alert_models.pycover both casings for runtime-error and other statuses.tests/unitwas unchanged by this PR (run on Windows, where some timezone and fixture tests already fail onmaster).🤖 Generated with Claude Code
