Change

Builds reaction summaries in place instead of copying each user-ID array. Reaction order, counts, current-user flags, and user IDs are preserved.

Tests

Focused reaction summary tests passed (8 tests). Type checks and lint passed.

Summary by CodeRabbit

  • Bug Fixes
    • Reaction summaries now correctly track counts, ownership, and user IDs when reactions share an emoji. New emoji summaries include the first reaction’s details.
  • Tests
    • Added coverage for summaries of a larger set of alternating reactions, including counts, ordering, ownership, and user IDs.

The function initializes a summary for each emoji’s first reaction, then updates its count, ownership flag, and user IDs. The test checks these values for 120 alternating reactions.

Reaction summaries retain their expected behavior. Checking complete user-ID arrays would strengthen regression coverage.

Assert the complete userIds arrays in the 120-reaction test.

The new test checks only the first and last IDs of the '🚀' summary. It does not check any ID in the '❤️' summary. Intermediate order, membership, and the heart summary's IDs can change without failing the test. Because the PR states that user IDs are preserved, assert both arrays in full:

Suggested fix
-    assert.equal(summaries[0].userIds[0], '0');
-    assert.equal(summaries[0].userIds.at(-1), '118');
+    assert.deepEqual(
+        summaries[0].userIds,
+        Array.from({ length: 60 }, (_, index) => String(index * 2)),
+    );
+    assert.deepEqual(
+        summaries[1].userIds,
+        Array.from({ length: 60 }, (_, index) => String(index * 2 + 1)),
+    );
