I tidied up the README slightly, and also added a section explaining how Fediwall tries to follow the rules around the API limits, but also, how to stop Fediwall from accessing posts if needed.

If a User-Agent header is implemented (#13), this information could be added to this section of the README later, to help Mastodon instance owners decide what to do with that.

Also added a direct link to #CatsOfMastodon 😸

I want to be careful about the 'How to not appear on Fediwall' part. That's a very sensitive topic. The phrase "That's a shame" may already be enough to trigger certain people. Apart from that, the wording sounds good though.

I'm playing with the idea of obeying robots.txt even though Fediwall is not a bot or search engine. Just to give admins an option to block Fediwall specifically, for whatever reason, instead of blocking all public access. Not sure if anyone would ever do that, but giving the option also does no harm much.

Yes, on reflection I agree with you about the phrasing, I was going for empathetic but it could come across flippant. I’ll send an adjusted version in a little while.

I made a tweak to the wording as you suggested, and also added a suggestion that folks fork and host to make greater CSS changes (per #12).
