👋 Jules, reporting for duty! I'm here to lend a hand with this pull request. When you start a review, I'll add a 👀 emoji to each comment to let you know I've read it. I'll focus on feedback directed at me and will do my best to stay out of conversations between you and other bots or reviewers to keep the noise down. I'll push a commit with your requested changes shortly after. Please note there might be a delay between these steps, but rest assured I'm on the job! 💡 What
Added a fast-path check (
data.includes("vercel_blob_rw_")) insanitizeString()insideapp/lib/error-reporting.tsprior to executing the global regular expression replacement (VERCEL_BLOB_TOKEN_PATTERN).🎯 Why
Regular expression execution (
replacewith global regex) incurs regex engine parsing and match traversal overhead even for strings that do not contain target tokens. In error reporting, the overwhelming majority of log messages, stack traces, and context string values do not contain Vercel Blob tokens. Short-circuiting with standard string inclusion bypasses the regex engine entirely for all non-matching strings.📊 Impact
Reduces execution time for
sanitizeStringon typical log strings by ~61% (a 2.5x speedup), from ~462ms down to ~180ms per 1M operations in benchmarks.🔬 Measurement
Benchmarked in Node v22 environment comparing
data.replace(regex, ...)vsdata.includes("vercel_blob_rw_") ? data.replace(...) : dataover 1,000,000 string iterations. Verified that all 57 unit tests inpnpm testcontinue to pass without regressions.PR created automatically by Jules for task 4670826026716191434 started by @amrabed
