Curate long recordings from sampled time windows, then apply those decisions to every spike in a new full sorting. The original dataset stays unchanged.

  • Supports merges, quality labels, notes, amplitude-threshold splits, undo/redo and save/reopen.
  • Unit Stability overlays multiple units, with separate rate, amplitude and depth toggles.
  • Exact full-recording rates and available amplitude/depth trends recompute in the background after splits. Merges and reopening reuse completed results.
  • SLAY suggestions and decisions survive repeated curation rounds. Metadata table layouts are preserved; new merge/split units clear imported metrics and quality labels until reviewed.

Validation: 1,090 tests pass, with one existing benchmark skip. CI is green across Linux, macOS and Windows, Python 3.10–3.12, plus docs and package build. Full-source comparisons checked all 469,725,567 spikes on Carl's earlier converted dataset. Live rate refresh took about 8 seconds with a warm filesystem cache.

Still draft: needs Carl's 500-hour trial and a native export with verified timing and acquisition exposure. Arbitrary lasso/feature splits are unsupported.
