Extends the playground e2e suite to the routes the sitemap crawl never reaches.

  • MCP: tools/list, the server card (endpoint + same tools as the server), list-pages, get-page (sections filter, error cases) and search-docs
  • Versioned previews: /blob/<sha> and /tree/main render with X-Robots-Tag: noindex, nofollow
  • Preview route rules: 404s under /blob/** and /tree/** carry the same header, pinning the route rules since the page also sets it when rendered
  • Unknown commits: GitHub's 422 for an unknown SHA maps to a 404, not a 500
  • Pages: sitemap URLs are absolute on the site origin, missing pages 404 as HTML and missing /raw twins as markdown
  • Moves the fetch helpers and shared fixtures (INTRO_PAGE, NOT_FOUND_SLUG, SITE_URL) to test/e2e/utils.ts
  • Lists pnpm test:e2e in the README

No CI change: pnpm test:e2e already runs with GITHUB_TOKEN and NUXT_DOCS_GITHUB_BRANCH.

📝 Walkthrough

The E2E suite gains shared request utilities and coverage for site routes, MCP endpoints, and versioned previews. The README documents the test command and its build prerequisite.

Changes: E2E Coverage

Layer / File(s) Summary
Shared E2E helpers and route coverage
test/e2e/utils.ts, test/e2e/routes.test.ts, README.md
Shared utilities provide the base URL, site and page constants, and request helpers. Route tests check sitemap origins, missing-page responses, page rendering, and content negotiation. The README documents pnpm test:e2e and the required build step.
MCP endpoint coverage
test/e2e/mcp.test.ts
Tests cover tool discovery and invocation, server-card metadata, page listing and retrieval, section filtering, error handling, and document search anchors.
Versioned preview coverage
test/e2e/previews.test.ts
Tests cover valid preview routes, robots headers, and 404 responses for unknown commits or slugs.

Merge Risk: 🔵 Low · up to e66cf

The change is mergeable with bounded coverage gaps: section filtering and raw-preview 404 behavior could regress without these tests catching it.

66-66: 🎯 Functional Correctness | 🔵 Trivial | ⚡ Quick win

Assert that unrequested section content is absent.

INTRO_PAGE contains body text under the unrequested What's included section. The current assertion checks only ## headings, so a response that removes that heading but retains its body would pass.

Suggested fix
     expect(text.split('\n').filter((line) => line.startsWith('## '))).toEqual(['## How it works'])
+ expect(text).not.toContain('Instant production content')

24-34: 📐 Maintainability & Code Quality | 🔵 Trivial | ⚡ Quick win

Exercise the raw-preview 404 paths separately.

The current cases do not call the /raw/** handler. Add cases for /raw/tree/main/... and /raw/blob/.... Preview pages have no raw mirrors, so both paths must return 404. Otherwise, a /raw/** regression to 500 can pass this suite.

Suggested fix
+ it.each([
+ `/raw/blob/${sha}${INTRO_PAGE.path}.md`,
+ `/raw/tree/main${INTRO_PAGE.path}.md`,
+  ])('%s returns a 404 because previews have no raw mirror', async (path) => {
+ const response = await fetchPath(path, { accept: 'text/markdown' })
+ expect(response.status).toBe(404)
+ })

Add separate parameterized coverage for the raw-preview routes in the existing
preview tests, including /raw/blob and /raw/tree paths using the relevant
preview identifiers. Fetch them with the markdown accept header and assert both
return 404, preserving the existing HTML route assertions.
