docs(claude): update the default branch after a PR merges, before branching - #407

Conversation
…nching The branch-creation rule only said to pull before `git checkout -b`. After a merge the local default branch lacks the merged commits and the release tags, and branching from origin/<default> instead makes that the new branch's upstream. The rule now covers both and names the repository's own default branch. Refs: RSRMID-3119

The branch-creation rule in
CLAUDE.mdonly said to pull beforegit checkout -b. Now it covers two more cases:origin/<default>: that makes it the new branch's upstream, so a baregit pullpulls the default branch and the local one stays stale. The bullet names this repository's own default branch. Documentation only (
docs), no release.🤖 Generated with Claude Code
