Changes

  • Mark span-customizers hook-failure-handling as supported for Python, JavaScript, Go, Java, and Ruby. Java and Ruby support is confirmed by the maintainer.
  • Remove specific pull-request links and the now-empty References section from the spec.
  • Leave other capability cells and the prototype-data caveat unchanged.
  • Regenerate capabilities/compatibility.csv locally; it is intentionally gitignored.

Release dependency — do not merge yet

The catalog defines yes as shipped. Keep this prospective compatibility update draft until the Python, JavaScript, and Go hook-failure implementations are merged and shipped.

Verification

  • make compatibility-csv passed.
  • make test passed: 31 tests; 47 capability rows across 23 specs and 7 SDKs validated.
  • mise exec -- python scripts/render-parity.py --feature span-customizers shows hook-failure support for all five SDKs.
  • Java and Ruby implementations were not re-assessed; their statuses reflect maintainer confirmation.
