Summary

Use logical framebuffer offsets in the fb example: map the second buffer at stride * yres and pan using yres instead of physical address differences.

Backport the same behavior to LVGL 9.2.2. Apply the patch during source preparation using Make/CMake, following existing modules, with a success stamp to avoid repeated patching.

related to PR apache/nuttx#21120

Impact

Requires the matching NuttX logical framebuffer offset support: .

The LVGL patch is automatically applied only to the 9.2.2 archive. Independent Git checkouts are left unchanged and require equivalent fbdev support.

Testing

  • Host: Ubuntu 22.04 x86-64, GCC 13.4, CMake 3.23.
  • Target: sim:lvgl_fb, 640×480×32, two buffers, with 0- and 17-line gaps.
  • Clean and incremental Make/CMake builds passed.
  • Verified the fb example and LVGL widgets under Xvfb/GDB with the matching NuttX changes. Both fb screenshots matched the expected image pixel-for-pixel.
  • Verified patch failure/retry, incremental no-op behavior, version gating, and Git checkout protection.
  • No physical hardware testing performed.

Map the second frame at stride * yres and pan with the logical frame
height instead of deriving offsets from mapped addresses. Initialize
the state, propagate plane query failures and release the second
mapping using its actual length.

Backport the NuttX fbdev offset adaptation to the LVGL 9.2.2 archive.
Apply the single-file patch through both Make and CMake, including
already extracted sources, without modifying independent Git checkouts.
Release mapped buffers on failure, rebinding and display deletion.
The patch requires the matching virtual-offset framebuffer driver.
