Connect your Windows PC to Home Assistant.

Report useful PC status, show Home Assistant notifications in Windows, and run the PC actions you choose. HASS Connect stays in the tray and uses Home Assistant’s Mobile App integration. No MQTT broker or custom integration is required.
HASS Connect supports Windows 11 x64. Download Setup from the latest release.
Setup downloads the Microsoft runtimes it needs, so the first installation requires an internet connection. The installer is currently unsigned, and Windows may show an unknown-publisher warning.
- Run the installer, then open HASS Connect from Start.
- Open Settings, enter your Home Assistant address and a long-lived access token, then connect.
- Enable the sensors and notifications you want.
In Home Assistant, open your profile and select Security to create a long-lived access token. Closing the window keeps the app in the tray. Click the tray icon for your quick actions, or right-click it to open the app, open Home Assistant, or quit.

All sensors are off by default. Enabled sensors report every 15 seconds.

Sensors can be disabled in either the app or HA. Enable sensors pauses reporting without changing your selections. HA retains the last values while the PC is offline; enable Last seen and add a freshness condition before automating on CPU usage, idle time or other readings.
Enable notifications, then use the notify action created for your PC:

previous alert. Action buttons return mobile_app_notification_action to HA with
the alert context; URI buttons and url notification-body links open the browser.
Notification examples cover clearing alerts, images and click events. The app must be running and connected. Windows Do not disturb can suppress banners.
PC control is off until you enable it. The built-in commands can lock, sleep, shut down or restart the PC, turn its displays off or wake them, and control media or volume. Each command has its own switch.
For anything else, create a custom command by choosing the exact .exe and fixed arguments
on the PC. Home Assistant can trigger the saved command but cannot change what it runs. See

Open Quick access in the app to choose up to eight Home Assistant entities. Search by name or entity ID, choose an action and icon, then use the arrows to set the tray order. Lights, switches, fans and toggle helpers support toggle, on and off; scripts, scenes and buttons support run. Covers offer the actions supported by each device, including toggle when both open and close are available. Click the tray icon to use the actions without opening a browser. You can also set an optional keyboard shortcut on the Quick access page; it is off by default. Arrow keys move between action tiles, and Tab reaches the footer controls. The popup stays open after an action and shows the latest state reported by Home Assistant. Click away or press Escape to close it. Actions are unavailable while Home Assistant is disconnected.
Credentials are encrypted for your Windows account. Settings and logs stay in
%LOCALAPPDATA%/HassConnect. No location updates are sent. Home Assistant may create
a device tracker during registration; you can disable it.
The Updates section checks GitHub automatically. After confirmation, HASS Connect can download, verify and open the official Setup bundle; nothing is installed without user action.
