High-Level Description

Alchemy is ready to submit to the Cursor Marketplace. The hosted MCP server is already in production, and Cursor reviews a public plugin repository rather than a registry URL. This adds that plugin without changing the Claude Code plugin.

Summary

• Add plugins/alchemy-cursor, an MCP-only Cursor plugin that connects to https://mcp.alchemy.com/mcp and sends x-alchemy-source: cursor-marketplace. That header selects the directory tool profile already live in prod, which hides the testnet faucet, airdrop, and paymaster tools.
• Add .cursor-plugin/marketplace.json so the repository can be submitted as a multi-plugin repo. The Claude marketplace manifest is unchanged.
• Document install cost and the source header in the plugin README. Installing is free; usage stays on the user's Alchemy plan.
• Set displayName to "Alchemy", the name Cursor shows in the listing.
• Rebased on Make the plugin directory-ready (v0.2.0): MCP + two read-only skills #5. The root README keeps Make the plugin directory-ready (v0.2.0): MCP + two read-only skills #5's upgrade note and merges the Cursor section into the repository layout.
• Cursor's template validator passes. The only warning is the expected absence of hooks.

Submit https://github.com/alchemyplatform/alchemy-claude-plugin at https://cursor.com/marketplace/publish after this merges. The form is tied to the logged-in Cursor account. Plugin path: plugins/alchemy-cursor.

Test Plan

• code-review completed with no major issues
• node validator from cursor/plugin-template (scripts/validate-template.mjs) reports "Validation passed"
• After the rebase, claude plugin validate --strict passes for the marketplace and plugins/alchemy, and scripts/sync-skills.sh is byte-identical (0 FAIL)
• Plugin installed locally in Cursor and an OAuth tool call succeeds with the cursor-marketplace source
• Submitted at cursor.com/marketplace/publish from an Alchemy-owned Cursor account

Deployment Notes

No service deploy. The MCP server already treats cursor-marketplace as a directory source. Merge this before submitting, because Cursor reviews the public repository.

Submit after the repo rename to alchemyplatform/alchemy-agent-plugins (terraform-github#1239) applies, so the listing records the new URL. The repository field here still uses the current URL, which redirects after the rename. A follow-up updates it.
