Compilation is not possible as version 0.3 of the sbt-github-release is not available in the resolver which is listed in their repo. It's not possible to upgrade to the latest version of the plugin as it requires sbt 1.x.
A Typesafe resolver was also added as a type safe dependency could not be found in the default resolvers.
Sbt was also upgraded to the latest 0.3.x version, since the current version of sbt failed to compile due to a NullPointerException.
I also added .DS_Store to the gitignore and updated the readme url
