fix: harden request and search handling

Improves a few defensive request/search paths:

• Handles Redis autocomplete command failures in PlayerSearchService.get().
• Ensures API client Sentry HTTP spans finish even when requests fail.
• Encodes site API query parameters and trims empty player search submissions.
