- Take the Housing Benefit earnings disregards from net earnings only, as SI 2006/213 and SI 2006/214 Schedule 4 require. The £5, £10 and £25 weekly disregards are now capped at the claimant's and partner's net earnings instead of being deducted from any income, including the State Pension, and they are no longer uprated with CPI. The additional earnings disregard is £17.10 (it was £37.10, uprated), and it now needs its work conditions (one person aged at least 25 working 30 hours, or 16 hours for lone parents, couples with a child and disabled workers) and net earnings covering the other disregards, childcare charges and £17.10. A working-age claimant on Income Support, income-based Jobseeker's Allowance or income-related Employment and Support Allowance has all earnings disregarded.
