The Perkins Cybersecurity Educational Fund is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit expanding access to practical cybersecurity education. We provide free courses, hands-on labs, defensive tools, and resources that help learners build real-world skills in malware analysis, reverse engineering, threat detection, secure programming, privacy-first software, and defensive security.
Our work is built for lawful, ethical, defensive, and educational use — and made available at no cost through the support of our sponsors and community.

Cybersecurity education should be accessible, practical, and grounded in real-world defense.
PCEF exists to remove barriers to high-quality cyber training by offering free courses, tools, labs, and resources for learners at every stage. We support students, educators, veterans, transitioning military personnel, and anyone seeking a rigorous, ethical path into cybersecurity.
We teach people to think like threats and build like defenders — helping them understand attacker behavior, analyze software and malware, detect threats, write safer code, and develop the skills needed to protect real systems.
Our mission is to make cybersecurity knowledge available to more people, build stronger defenders, and support a community where learning, research, and public-interest security work remain open and accessible.
