Contributions that include AI generated content #6035

Description

@almayne

Would it be possible to clarify whether OpenBLAS accepts contributions that include AI generated content?

Could the README be updated with the details either way?

Thanks in advance.

    I've avoided such a statement as I'm very much on the fence on this topic (and I don't like the idea that such contributions might surreptitiously be scraping content from BLIS, BLASFEO or similar projects), but I have merged a few "AI-assisted" PRs already in recent months.

    I notice that this seems to be the case for Reference-LAPACK as well, from which LAPACKE and most of LAPACK is imported here

    OK, so is it more on a case by case basis? Are there any "extra steps" you would like to see when such a PR is raised?

    For example, having "Co-authored by " in the commit message.

    Whatever, as long as it doesn't have six fingers and a ten-page essay on how the function name relates to the universe...
    I can't police PRs that make technical sense, but I'd prefer to have at least the impression that a human put some thought and experience into it.
