Play the challenges on a Mac station and tag v0.1.0 #8
hello-world, Vibe Coding Mad Libs, and BirdsBirdBirds pass the challenge spec's Ship checklist on a real station. An event config can then pin them.
Cloud workers can't do this. boothstrap dev needs macOS window control, the station needs a vault, and making the repo public is an org decision.
Scope
Make MLH/microhackathon-challenges public. Stations fetch it from codeload with no credentials (boothstrap.sh's docs/challenge-packages.md), so a private repo fails as repo_fetch_failed.
On a Mac, play each package with boothstrap dev challenges/<id> --install and check the spec's Ship checklist:
It completes end to end.
Leave, the idle timeout, and a kill-and-relaunch mid-challenge each leave nothing behind, including no preview server still listening.
Tag v0.1.0. Point an event config at https://github.com/MLH/microhackathon-challenges, ref v0.1.0, directories challenges/hello-world, challenges/vibe-coding-mad-libs, challenges/birdsbirdbirds (and challenges/glitch-invaders if feat: add the Glitch Invaders challenge #23 lands first). Provision the event vault's gemini service.
File follow-ups for anything the playthrough finds, plus, in MLH/boothstrap.sh, the big-screen Birds display: a booth API endpoint that lists approved bird items, and a TV page for the birds-v1 renderer.
Acceptance
The repo is public.
Each challenge's Ship checklist is checked off in a comment here.
v0.1.0 is tagged, and a station on that event config lists every configured challenge as available.
Since #18, the packages live under challenges/. For the event config in this issue's scope, list the directories as challenges/hello-world, challenges/vibe-coding-mad-libs, challenges/birdsbirdbirds, and run the playthroughs as boothstrap dev challenges/<id> --install.

#23 is merged, so main now has four packages. The event config for v0.1.0 can list challenges/glitch-invaders alongside the other three; it runs in demo mode (no Sentry account needed) until MLH/boothstrap.sh#519 lands. Its Ship checklist run is a browser-type playthrough: Chrome on the left, the monitor reporting steps from the page's glitch-state v1 line.
