Hi, I'm Quentin

Network, automation & observability engineer based in France.

By day, I help teams see what their infrastructure is actually doing. On the side, I build the tools I wish I had: small, focused, open source, and properly documented.

I also write about homelab, networking, DevOps and self-hosting on kentrow.fr, in French and English.

Something in Go for anyone who has ever fought a vendor API to get metrics out of it. More soon.

Contributing to

  • oxynote - an open source technical wiki connected to the systems it describes
  • nl6 - an open network load simulator (SNMP, NetFlow, IPFIX, sFlow, Syslog, gNMI, NETCONF)

What I care about

  • Observability that answers questions, not just dashboards that collect data
  • Infrastructure described as code rather than tribal knowledge
  • Tools that do one thing well and are honest about their limits
  • Releases you can rely on: semantic versioning, changelogs, no surprises
