A tkinter based GUI for searching through SNP ids in 23andMe raw genome files

Features

• Load a raw data file downloaded from 23andMe.com
• Search for rsID and return the appropriate genotype call
• Built as a basic tkinter MacOS applet

Setup

• Clone this repo:

  git clone https://github.com/Geoff-Dilly/SNP23_App.git
  cd SNP23_App

• Build SNP_23 as a MacOS app by running the build script:

   pip install pyinstaller

• Build SNP_23 as a MacOS app by running the build script:

   bash build_SNP23_app.sh

The app will appear in the dist/ folder

Using SNP_23

• Open the SNP_23 GUI
• Load a raw data file by pressing Load
• Enter an rdID into the search bar and press Search or the return key
• The genotype call will be returned in the Genotype field
