A minimal Flask app for smoke-testing cloud deployments.

Run locally

python3 -m venv .venv
.venv/bin/pip install -r requirements.txt
.venv/bin/python app.py
# → http://localhost:8080

Set PORT to change the port (most cloud platforms inject this):

PORT=3000 .venv/bin/python app.py

Deploy to Cloud Foundry

cf push

manifest.yml configures the app (Python buildpack, random route, HTTP health check on /health); Procfile starts gunicorn on the platform-assigned $PORT.

Run with Docker

docker build -t web-app .
docker run -p 8080:8080 web-app

The container runs gunicorn and respects the PORT env var.
