Closing this — it can't be merged as-is. npm ci fails with an ERESOLVE peer dependency conflict: typescript-eslint@8.67.0 (the latest release, already in use in this repo) caps its typescript peerDependency at >=4.8.4 <6.1.0, and no newer typescript-eslint release lifts that cap yet. TypeScript 7.0 is a ground-up rewrite of the compiler (the native/Go "Corsa" port), so it makes sense the ecosystem hasn't caught up.

Forcing the install with --legacy-peer-deps isn't a safe workaround here, since typescript-eslint's compatibility with TS 7's new architecture is unverified — it could silently produce wrong lint/type results rather than failing loudly.

Opened #615 to add an ignore rule to .github/dependabot.yml so this bump isn't repeatedly re-proposed until typescript-eslint supports the new major. We can revisit this upgrade deliberately once that support lands.
