Primitive function and operator names appear in italics in running text, in lower case except at the start of a sentence. Headings, code spans, glyphs and system functions are left unchanged.

This covers the Language Reference, Programming Reference, Windows Installation and Configuration, Windows UI, Object Reference, Interface, .NET Framework Interface, and UNIX guides, and the earlier release notes.
