I'm a backend engineer based in Hong Kong. For 23 years I've been building systems, the last decade of them in fintech and trading and five years in blockchain.
Most of my work is trading and exchange infrastructure: matching engines, market data pipelines, low-latency messaging and post-trade systems, including at a leading crypto exchange in Hong Kong. I care about what happens on the hot path, so I spend a lot of time measuring latency honestly and making it smaller.
I write mostly C++ and Rust, and more and more Zig. I use Go for services and Python as everyday glue, and I still have 15 years of C# behind me. On the blockchain side I've worked with Ethereum, Solana and Cosmos, building indexers, smart contracts and trading bots.
Lately I've been experimenting with modern C++ (C++23/26), lock-free data structures, and comparing how C++, Rust and Zig handle the same low-latency problem. I'm also curious about MEV, Solana DeFi and zero-knowledge proofs.
