Welcome to ShowerCore! Tired of smelling like a zombie after a long mining trip? Want to gain superpowers just by standing under some water? You've come to the right place. This mod turns your boring hygiene routine into a magical, buff-granting experience.
Note: This mod requires HotBath 4.1.2 or later to work properly. HotBath provides the basic bath fluids used in this mod.
The heart of your bathroom. It's not just for looks; it's for power.

Buff duration builds up while you shower, up to two minutes. Cleansing rules differ by core; none removes Bad Luck. Full values and exceptions are in the official guide.
If you place a Shower Core down as a block instead of putting it in a shower head, it acts like a Conduit. Build a Conduit-style frame from that core's matching blocks to activate an area buff for nearby players. Core blocks and shower heads have different effects; the guide lists the frame materials and ranges.
For when standing is just too much effort.
- Fill 'er up: Right-click with a bucket of water or a Hot Bath fluid. Bath fluids provide buffs; ordinary water does not.
- Visual Effects: Hot water and HotBath fluids produce steam particles above the bathtub
- The Faucet: Empty-hand right-click the faucet on a filled tub to toggle running water. It does not fill an empty tub.
- Sit Down: Empty-hand right-click the head or foot of the tub to sit.
- Shared Bath (Ooh la la):
- Empty-hand right-click the free end of an occupied tub to ask to join.
- The person inside gets an
[Accept]/[Reject]prompt in chat. Press 'T' to open chat and click it! - (Or use commands:
/showercore accept_bath <player>//showercore deny_bath <player>) - Note: Don't run away! You must be within 5 blocks to join.
- The other player must remain seated and the second seat must be free.
Use a bathtub or shower item in the air to open the material menu. For a duck, sneak-use it in the air. Add a material block from your inventory and choose its side or top texture. A bathtub material change costs six blocks; a shower or duck costs one. Changing only the texture face is free. The chosen material covers the complete body, including the bathtub floor and inner walls.
The creative tab lists seven bathtub styles, seven shower styles and two duck skins, with materials chosen through the menu. Existing material variants and saved items remain compatible. Right-click a bathtub's top or side with a shower to install it at the correct rim height.
Craft a reusable pool planner with paper, a stick and an iron ingot. Use it in the air to choose Rectangle, Rounded or Circle, a material sample, and dimensions from 3 to 16 blocks per side. Pools have one-block height. Click the ground for an outline, then click inside it again to build. Fit room uses two corners followed by confirmation; the menu shows the material cost.
Use buckets on any pool block to change its shared water level. Empty-hand click inside or on the rim to sit; several players can use different seats. Sneak to stand up. Showers follow the rim height and both duck skins float within the basin. Use the planner on an existing pool to change its complete finish while preserving water and occupied seats; previously paid material is returned, and side/top texture changes are free.
Break a member to dismantle the pool and return paid construction materials once. Liquid is not recovered into the planner. To change its size or shape, dismantle and rebuild.
The true boss of this mod.
- Physics: It floats! It bobs! It's adorable!
- Spin: Poke it (Right-click) to make it spin.
- Pickup: Sneak + Right-click to take your buddy home.
- DANGER: DO NOT throw it in lava. It will scream. You will feel bad. You monster.
Craft a core with a Conduit in the centre and four matching ingredients around it in a plus shape: Magma Cream, Milk Buckets, Bath Herbs, Peonies, Honeycomb or Rose Bushes.
