Summary

  • Adds FileTypeIconView, an AppKit view that combines an optional status badge with the Material file-type icon, mirroring the existing RevisionTreeIcon.
  • Adds FileChangeRowContentView, a shared row body for native file lists (icon, name, optional subtitle/detail lines, and +/− line counts), plus FileChangeStatusStyle mappings for FileStatus and CommitFileStatus.
  • Refactors the four native lists to use the shared row view instead of their previous row content: FileStatusNativeList, FileStatusTreeNativeList, CommitFileNativeList, and CommitFileTreeNativeList.

Notes for reviewers

  • The four list files are net reductions in size (e.g. CommitFileNativeList −87 lines), consistent with duplicated row layout being moved into FileChangeRowContentView.
  • Line counts are laid out manually in layout() with a small trailing width allowance to avoid clipping the final digit, and layout is invalidated when counts arrive asynchronously.
  • The provided diff for FileTypeIconView is truncated at statusIcon.imag…, so the badge rendering in that file is not fully visible here.

Summary by CodeRabbit

  • Improvements
    • File lists use more compact rows, allowing more files to fit on screen.
    • File names, status indicators, optional path details, and added or removed line counts appear more consistently across file status and commit history views.
    • File and folder icons reflect their type, with status symbols shown where applicable.
    • Text and line-count details adjust to the available space and display scale.

Introduce FileTypeIconView rendering Material file-type icons with corner status badges for native file lists. Apply it across file status and commit file list/tree views and tighten row heights for the denser layout.
Replace duplicated icon, label, and count layout in native file lists with FileChangeRowContentView and show status icons beside file type icons.

name, subtitle, detail, and count label frame heights from their configured
fonts instead of fixed values, and use those heights when calculating the text
block. Preserve the existing visibility-based layout for optional labels so
scaled text fits in plain and tree rows.

Comment thread macgit/Views/Common/FileChangeRowContentView.swift Outdated
- Derive name, path, detail, and line-count frame heights from the scaled fonts so larger app text sizes are not clipped
- Keep the previous fixed heights as minimums so the default size is unchanged
